Let's disappoint each other

"I'm telling you man! I've never seen him that pissed off since we met him!" Kaminari exclaimed, Sero nodding in agreement. They hovered in front of the elevator with Kirishima who was just about to go back to his dorm room when the two caught him.

"Yeah, like he just snapped at us for no reason and shoved Denki off of him to where he fell."

"That's weird," Eijirou mumbled. Even though it sounded like Bakugou it didn't really sound like Bakugou. He wasn't the type of person that would shove someone like that. He was very careful and meticulous about harming others, even if he did get a little aggressive when they first met, Mina was never harmed. Plus, Bakugou never pushed off Kirishima when he put his arm around his neck, so why would he push Kaminari? "I'll talk to him. Do you know where he went?"

"Who knows? He ran off without so much of a 'sorry' so I don't really want to see his face right now."

"Hanta! Have some sympathy! We don't know what he's dealing with!"

     "...Fine."

"Yeah..." Kirishima trailed off. The Katsuki Kirishima knew would never do anything without much of a reason. Even if that family portrait thing was an impulse decision, he said it was good practice and professional experience for him.

"We ran into Midoryia who said he ran into him, but quickly walked off as if he was in a hurry to get somewhere, but we looked everywhere around campus and no one's seen him since," Sero explained, "And he's not picking up his phone either or answering his texts."

"Okay, let him breathe for a minute and I'll talk to him about it when I see him," Kirishima replied, earning sighs of relief from both of them.

"Thanks man, it feels like you're the only one that can hold a proper conversation with him these days."

"Oh don't be so dramatic Kaminari," Kirishima patted him on the shoulder before saying his goodbye. He thought long and hard on how he was going to approach this situation.

He didn't know what he'd say when he'll see him. Should he scold him? Ask him what's wrong? Demand him to apologize? If he was being honest, Katsuki was acting a little distant lately. Scowling no matter how many jokes he'd crack or cursing under his breath or ignoring everything around him like he was stuck in his own world. He'd excuse himself from hangouts too early or use the excuse that something came up to not go. Just when Eijirou thought he was getting somewhere with him, he just had to run back into his hermit shell.

'But still...' Kirishima opened his door with a heavy sigh. 'He shouldn't...?'

     "Katsuki?"

Kirishima gazed in shock at his bed. Bakugou was laying there peacefully, his breathing deep and his hands wrapped in bandages. He was rolled over on his side and halfway off the bed so his legs dangled haphazardly.

"I didn't think he'd be the type to sleep in his school clothes..."

'Wait, why is he in here? Did I leave my door unlocked again?'

Kirishima put his bag down and hovered over Katsuki's face.

"He looks exhausted. What the hell happened?" he whispered. He subconsciously lifted his hand to brush a piece of blond hair from his face.

     Smack!

Kirishima met sleepy crimson irises, glaring and defensive, full of fire and lava that seemed like it'd blow up any moment. However, before he could admire any more, the feeling of his wrist about to be snapped in half quickly dragged him out of his thoughts.
