Katsuki checked himself out in the mirror. Bright orange t-shirt, black ripped jeans with a chain that connected to his wallet, combat boots and a black beanie weighed on his body.
He's never been to a party before, he's never even had a birthday party actually. If he did he doesn't remember. Was he supposed to bring something? Is what he's wearing acceptable? What if he ruins the party with his anger issues? How's he supposed to act? Who's all going anyway?
He shook his head and checked the time on his wrist, noticing he got ready way too early. He sighed, debating on whether or not he should go to Kirishima's room to pass the time.
'Wait, why the hell would I go there?' He thought, shaking his head. Well, what should he do in the meantime?
"Oh fuck it," he muttered, shoving his phone in his pocket and going out to the hallway to see Sero and Kaminari walking down the corridor. He retreated back in his room quickly, too quickly.
"You know what? I'm not going."
'But this is a good time to make friends!'
"Fuck friends, I don't need them."
'Quit being a bitch and go. You can leave if it starts going down hill.'
"No way in hell, I'd rather die."
'This'll be a good opportunity to get close to Kirishima ya'know! Didn't you say you wanted to be his friend?'
Katsuki bit the inside of his cheek, averting his eyes to his bedside where a family portrait he drew in charcoal sat framed in a dark mahogany. He knew he should go out and socialize more—he knew he should try to gain some social status or at least practice conversing with people so he could get better at it. But still...
"Gshkefuck fine!" Katsuki grumbled, taking a deep breath. He doesn't know how to handle this anxiety in his stomach, so he tried to push it away.
He couldn't, but he opened the door anyway.
He didn't see anyone out in the hallway and he sighed, locking his door behind him.
"Yo Bakugou!" He heard, making him jump a little as his head swiveled towards the elevator. He saw Kirishima waving and smiling at him, holding the silver panels open. "Are you coming to the party?"
"I—well—I mean—Well, I-I have nothing better to fucking do so why the hell not." Bakugou mentally shot himself in the brain. His stuttering was making him cringe as he tried to grasp an excuse. "Was gonna go get coffee so I can have the energy though..."
"We'll go with you!" The redhead smiled as Kaminari and Sero were snickering behind him, "C'mon, can't hold this door open forever now."
Bakugou clicked his tongue, picking up his dropped key and jogging to the elevator.
"Now that you're coming it's gonna be a blast!" Kirishima chirped excitedly. Katsuki hummed, his mind still overthinking about everything that could possibly go wrong.
"Yo Bakubro, nice fit," Sero complimented, bitting his lip and rubbing his chin. Kaminari was doing the same thing and Katsuki was confused out of his mind and extremely uncomfortable.
"Nani the fuck? What's wrong with your faces? Ew," he insulted, very disturbed. Kirishima turned around and snorted.
"You guys are on TikTok too much," the redhead said, an easy smile on his face. Katsuki raised his brow and it felt like forever had just passed before the elevator doors finally opened.
