Kirishima felt nervous as he entered the art exhibit, but became fully immersed in everything that decorated the walls. He sometimes forgot this was a high class private college with immense funding.
He as well as Mina and Kaminari meandered through the halls. The first thing that greeted them was the photography section. Beautiful photos of sunsets and underwater life, zoom ins of insects on leaves and the textures of trees, fashionable photos of models posing outdoors, indoors, in lakes and bathtubs and mountain trails, public parks and on city street sidewalks, photos of flowers and petals falling like snow in the sky; every picture had someway or another beautifully captured a moment in time, fleeting moments that would never be experienced again.
The next section was the sculpture section. Bizarre and abstract shapes were formed in odd colours. It took immense imagination and experimentation to come up with anything like them. There were globs of colours that looked like trees, roses built out of stone, tea sets built out of hardened clay as well as wood shaved into animals. It was a section that made Kirishima feel like he too could make something out of nothing.
The first painting they saw was an oil painting of a blonde haired blue eyed foreign woman with 6 pairs of wings on her body. She wore white sashes that flowed in the wind along with her gorgeous golden locks, and at the person standing under it was a girl with green hair that flowed like vines. She was speaking passionately about her beloved savior that inspired her to paint such a beautiful woman.
"She's so cute," Kaminari murmured, obviously infatuated with her. Mina shook her head, plainly expressing to him that he had no chance whatsoever.
They continued to wander down the halls, admiring all sorts of art styles and presentations being given. Kirishima felt a little anxious, as he didn't know the artists of the paintings would be giving speeches for people and answering questions.
"Oh, there's Baku!" Mina exclaimed, pointing excitedly down the hallway. There was a section that had a lot of people gathered around it. There were men in business suits with eager pens as if trying to write down everything Katsuki said as well as people in casual clothing looking up in awe.
Kirishima gasped, taking in Bakugou's appearance. He was dressed so formally and his posture was relaxed as well. He wore a neutral expression from what Kirishima could see from his side profile, and the way his chin was tilted upward and his hands were in his pockets screamed absolute confidence.
"Oh wow, he looks good," Kaminari mumbled, Kirishima blushing as he frantically nodded. They slipped to the back of the crowd to listen.
Kirishima took that time to observe all the artwork that had been displayed. There were some he'd seen before, even some he'd watched be painted, while most were unknown to him.
He started at the top of the wall. There was one that was pink and purple that felt like it was sprinkled with stars, there was another one that was of the schools admissions building except it seemed to be a bit apocalyptic, another was of the moon, and another of a split coloured forest path. There was one that looked like a cityscape and then another of a beautiful lake from a bridge point of view that seemed really familiar. Another was of a Torii with a mountain scape behind it, and then one a shrine. There were portraits of insects and details of flowers. Every painting was painted in great detail and care. It couldn't compare to the other doodles and sketches he had seen up till now.
And at the bottom of the wall was a huge canvas that had made the redhead gasp.
"Could you tell us about the art work behind you?" asked a young woman with orangey red hair, "I heard that this was your most recent work, correct?"
