"It's Chin's birthday. Do you want to come with me later?"
My eyes are still on my laptop. Finishing the series I am watching in netflix.
I shooked my head at her. Ni-hindi ko ito binalingan ng tingin.
"You sure?" she asked again for the second time. I nodded.
"Okay," she said before locking my room and leaving me here alone.
It's Saturday. I have nothing to do. If only I didn't confessed to Zac, I will go. But after what I've said.... I don't think I have the guts to face him. I feel ashamed!
The next day, Trina asked me to accompany her to buy gift for her niece's 1st birthday since Eli and Jia were both can't come.
"What do you think?"
Agad akong umiling nang makita ang dress na nais nyang bilhin. It was very colorful. Masakit sa mata.
"What about this one?" she asked again.
I smiled and thumbs up. It was just a mini simple dress but looks elegant. Bumili din sya ng shoes para ka-partner ng dress at ilang mga pang-batang accessories.
Habang hinihintay ang kaibigan na pinapa-wrap iyong regalo ay sandali muna akong naglibot libot.
"Oh sorry," sabay naming sabi ng nakabanggaan ko.
Bahagya pa akong natawa at ganoon din sya.
"I'm sorry," I said. Besides, it's my fault though. Hindi ako tumitingin sa dinadaanan ko.
"It's okay,"
He smiled at me. I can even see a familiar face with him.
He's wearing a University shirt, katulad ng kay Ate Blea. Oh right, kapag pala college ay may pasok pa din kapag sabado. They're from that same University, I guess, probably.
"You're alone?" tanong nito. Inilibot pa nya ang paningin para kumpirmahin kung may kasama ba ako.
I shook my head. "Uh, no. I'm with my friend. She's in that boutique." I pointed the boutique where my friend Trina was.
Nakita ko si Trina na kakalabas lang ng boutique. Nataranta ako nang mapagtanto na iniwan ko nga pala ang kaibigan ko doon.
"I gotta go. Sorry ulit." I said for the nth time before turning my back on him.
"Sa'n ka galing?" Trina asked.
"Dyan lang. Naglibot-libot."
We just ate at Mcdo after buying a gift for her niece. Trina even treat me a meal, pasasalamat daw at sinamahan ko sya. Then, we went to the cinema to watch the new released k-drama movie in Netflix.
"Until now, hindi pa din ako makamove on. Nakakaiyak. I thought they're the endgame!"
Trina keeps on ranting about what we have just watched hanggang sa nakalabas kami ng mall ay panay pa din ang dada nya.
"Oh my god, Tri. It's just a movie! If the writer of that movie knew your reaction, she would probably laugh." I shooked my head with disbelief.
Even though the ending wasn't good, atleast they have met each other. Maybe they are not meant for each other. At isa pa, movie lang iyon. Hindi para magpa-apekto ako. But Trina, hindi ko alam kung broken ba ang isang 'to!
"Bye Psalm! Thanks sa pagsama sa'kin." Trina said. "Are you sure you won't come with us?"
I smile and shook my head. "I will call Kuya Cael or Ate Blea to fetch me here. No need to worry."
