POV ???

I woke up in a cold sweat, Firefreeze cooed at me. I hugged her. I wanted to cry but couldn't. There aren't anymore tears for me to cry. I've lived with Firefreeze for over 6 years. we've been together for most of my life. We gathered our camping stuff and moved on to the next rest stop. We keep traveling across the world, unsure of where we're going. Just moving from place to place. We stop and stock up on food to survive when we need. We trade valuables we find on islands every once in a while. We take what we need, nothing more. My life has been anything but great. I don't live like a queen, nor like a lord. With Firefreeze by my side, we survive. I trace her beautiful crimson markings on her back that marked her as a titanwing royal night fury. She chortles at me. I don't smile, I think I forgot how, but I'm happy inside and she knows it. As we fly over the early morning cloud cover, I look at the sunrise. It reminded me of the last sunrise I saw on my family's mountain before I left. I was thrown back into the chaotic memories of my mind.

My earliest memory of my parents, my uncles, my aunts, my grandparents, and my twin sister. They all disappeared before I could walk so the village took care of me. I was told a fire broke out in my family estate and I was the only survivor. Later they found out why. Why the gods "blessed" me, I'll never know but I became known as the Loki fire child. The village named me after the god. I was called Logi, the Norse word for fire. I hated it. I had a mastery over fire and flames that no one had ever seen. My memories form my early childhood sprang forward. The stares people gave me as I walked down the streets. The fear and anger in their eyes. I was feared and hated. I wasn't wanted.

I was jolted out of my memories by Firefreeze, there was a large island that we landed on. I jumped down and started searching for berries and herbs. I grabbed my bow and arrows so I could take down some boars if there where any here. I wasn't the best with a bow. I was the child of swordmasters after all. But I have long since learned my lesson in boar hunting with a sword versus an arrow. The only sword I had was the last one my father made before he disappeared. It had my real name engraved in gold. It was, however, very old and worn. When I found it in the wreckage of the family forge, I had to keep it. It was partially melted and slightly bent to one side. I once tried to fix it but I messed up and almost destroyed the engraving. It's the reason why the last letter on it is wonky.

As I scoured the nearby woods for supplies I heard faint voices. Across the woods, into a flower field was a group made of humans and dragons. I hid in fear that they would see me. They were talking with each other, the humans were making growling noises at the dragons as if they were speaking their language. The dragons growled back as if in response. This group seemed to be friends to dragons. However I could not take that chance. Since there were humans on this island, I wanted to leave I went to find Firefreeze. I whistled for her so we could leave but she did not return. I started to get worried. I moved to a denser area of forest so I would not be seen. After half the day searching for Firefreeze I was panicking. I was running through the forest trying to find my best friend. Through the trees I noticed a tower. I began to hear a faint noise, a cry for help. I knew that Firefreeze was in trouble.  I burst through the trees to see Firefreeze trapped in a fishnet that hung over the edge of the cliff.  In front of her was a young boy and a young dragon. I didn't hesitate as I lifted my bow to aim.
