The two young individuals stared at the creature blocking the door.

"Are you two alright?" It asked.

It had a very feminie voice, but it was like it hadn't used it in a while so it was very raspy. The creature had dark amber scales, much like its hair, and turned a lighter shade of gold as the scales went down the body. It had blue and red accented clothing on it and horns on its head. Behind it was a large stormcutter with red accents on its horns and the edges of its wings.

"Yes we're alright." Alic said.

"Then let's get you out. Cloudjumper, fire at the bars." The stormcutter fired two shots and the children were free. They went above deck and Alic and the creature mounted the dragons and flew off. Star and Alic led the two others back to the nest. When they arrived, the nest was deserted except for tiny movement up in the terror medical nest.

"They must have gone out to look for us. I feel bad now, do you think they'll scold us when they return?" Alic asked, dismounting from Star.

"They're bound to, though it wasn't really said, there was that unspoken rule where we weren't supposed to leave the island." Star said. They entered the throne room where there would usually be gossip from the few dragons and humans who lived here, now there was only deafening silence. Suddenly, flapping was heard from outside and an anguish crying followed it.

"My child is gone! Oh my poor hatchling!" Shadow-mist cried. She plopped on the ground in sadness.

"There, there mother. We'll find her." Moon soothed. Moon looked over at the entrance to the throne room and gasped as she saw a golden head peeking out.

"Mother, look!" She cried. Shadow-mist looked and saw her daughter standing in the entrance of the throne room.

"Mother!" Star shouted.

"My Star, you've returned!" Shadow-mist said, running and hugging her daughter, a purr rising in her throat.

"Oh, dear sister, are you harmed?" Moon cried as she walked around Star, sniffing for any injuries. As she came across the mark, Star flinched.

Moon gasped, "Mother, she's been marked!" Shadow-mist marched over to look at the injury.

"Indeed this is the mark of a claimed dragon. How dare they?" She growled. "It looks as if it was done hours ago, there is no doubt it will leave a scar but we must have Talia and Shimmer to look at it before it gets infected." The group walked into the throne room and up the branch stairs to the terror medical nest. Forgetting that there were two new additions in the group, Shadow-mist turned to stare at the two.

"Who are you?'' she asked.

The creature spoke first, "We are Valka and Cloudjumper of the Bewilderbeast nest. We were the ones who saved your young ones."

"Then I thank you, you have done me and our nest a great deed. I will be sure to tell the king and queen to reward you when they return from the search." Shadow-mist said, bowing her head.

"Why don't you get something to eat while you wait, the fish pile is just outside the door and down the dirt path." She said as she walked away up the stairs.

"Thank you for your hospitality, I can't wait to meet your rulers." Valka said and walked out the throne room and down the path Shadow-mist had said.

Near Berk

Night had fallen as the four individuals sat on a stone pillar near Berk, waiting for Snotlout to meet them.

"My queen, do you think he's willing to listen?" Astrid asked, staring out at the slowly darkening forest.

"He said he wanted to know more, I have to trust that. If he's looking for a way out, then we could very well be his rescue. He also might know where the young ones are. We never got to ask him if he had seen them."

"I hope you're right." Astrid mumbled.

"Human, do not doubt your queen, if he says, then it is to be." Toothless scolded.

"It's alright, my love. I am not even fully convinced, myself." Hiccup said, soothing his king.

"Even so, we cannot afford doubt now. If we have doubt, then our dream of a full nest of both humans and dragons alike is far into the future, and it may never be reached." Toothless growled.

"I understand, but how do we know that Snotlout won't bring the whole village out here to destroy us? We could be walking into a trap." Astrid said.

Suddenly, loud crunching could be heard through the woods.

Snotlout walked through the woods towards the cliff. He pushed aside some branches and a cliff met the sea. Two stone pillars looked out over the sea and on them, two silhouettes shone, the moon behind them. He kept hold of his axe hilt as the silhouettes jumped and landed on the grassy ledge.

"Greetings, Snotlout. I'm glad you came." Hiccup said dismounting.

Snotlout stared at the night fury he swore to kill if he ever saw it.

"Tell me about all this, and it better be good, Hiccup. Otherwise I'll bring the whole village out here to capture you and try to revert you back and kill the dragons who brainwashed you both.

"Brainwashed? Oh Snotlout, there is so much to explain." Astrid said.

Below the cliff, on a ledge, were two individuals. One a chunky female gronkle, the other a large, chunky viking. They stayed silent as they listened to what Hiccup, Astrid and their mates, had to say.

He sat and listened about the beautiful oasis, free of judgment, where humans and dragons could live together in harmony.

"All this sounds wonderful. What do you think, Meatlug?" The gronkle growled in agreement.

"Maybe when they go to leave we can join them, then we can be together for however long we want. We could study new dragons. And with the Book of Dragons we even have a head start." Fishlegs giggled at the thought of discovering new dragons and learning more about the existing ones. He heard flapping and saw the group leave in a hurry. Fishlegs and Meatlug followed.

"Hey, wait up!" He called. The dragons turned to see who hailed for them.

"Fishlegs? Is that you?" Hiccup said.

"Yes, and... well... Meatlug and I want to join your cause. We don't want to hide our relationship anymore. But if the villagers found out about Meatlug, they'd hurt her. Please, let us come with you." Fishlegs begged.

Hiccup and Astrid look at each other then at Fishlegs and the happy little gronkle he was riding. Their eyes softened. "Of course. But there are a few things you must know." Hiccup spoke first.

"Yes, yes. Anything." Fishlegs said, happily.

"Firstly, I and Toothless are king and queen of this nest."

"Okay, no question about that. I do not judge."

"Secondly, I and Battle-axe are the generals of the army." Astrid spoke up.

"Okay, that makes sense. You've always been the warrior type" Fishlegs said.

"Lastly, there are many other dragons and humans like us, we are making it our mission to save them from those who deny our dream." Hiccup spoke again.

"That will be nice, to have others like us living in harmony." Fishlegs said. "Also, why did you fly off so hurriedly? I thought Snotlout wanted to learn more?"

"Well, he did. We told him about what we were doing and he still insisted that we were 'brainwashed'." Hiccup said, raising his fingers in quotations. "I guess he wasn't ready for what we are trying to do. He started running back to the village to get more vikings to capture us so we left. Now, let's head out before they find three dragons in their skies."

The group left the island and didn't look back. They traveled with their new recruits to their island nest where there was going to be a few surprises waiting for them.
