When Janessa got home, Sophie was already standing in at the door, looking somewhat awkward and nervous.

"Oh, hey Sophie." Janessa greeted sheepishly. "Amy invited you for the sister sleepover?"

Sophie nodded, her eyes still somewhat distant, searching the walls of the apartment as if there was something wrong with them.

Opening the door and pulling Sophie inside, she casually bumped their shoulders together. "Hey, what's up? You seem... distant."

"Sorry... it's just..." Sophie trailed off, looking around to make sure no one was listening. "I know Mr Forkle said to give you time to rest, but I don't think I can really keep this from you. The thing is... Fitz and I talked to Keefe's mom, and apparently there's two Nightfalls, the one we went to before, and the original one, which is somewhere here in Atlantis." Sophie paused. "We're leaving the official meeting about it until tomorrow, since I told him today that you should be involved and he said I could... check if you're ok, but he's worried Fintan might come after you again."

Janessa felt herself freeze, her lips pressing together anxiously. "Oh. I understand why he thinks that." Janessa paused. Just as she opened her mouth to continue, Amy came in, grinning.

"Jeez, why are you guys so serious?" Her tone was joking, but Janessa immediately noticed the tremors in her hands and the vulnerability in her eyes and remembered, it was Amy's parents who were kidnapped; she was the only one out of the three of them that had been raised by them her whole life and they were all she had left. The two older sisters made eye contact and made an agreement: Amy would be protected.

"Sophie disapproves of me training with an ogre." Janessa explained, praying Sophie wouldn't overreact too much. Somehow, the blonde managed to hold in her surprise, but sent a quick glare to say that she did, in fact, disapprove.

"Oh, is that what you do with Keefe every day now?" Amy asked, eyes sparkling with interest.

Janessa grinned, flexing her arm muscles. "Basically. I'm a pro now, and Ro says I'm her favourite elf, despite my sparkly-ness."

The look on Sophie's face could only be interpreted as what the actual f***. The two younger sisters snorted as they looked at the blonde.

"How about we stop giving Sophie a heart attack and make some cookies or something?" Janessa suggested, smiling warmly at her two sisters. Sophie managed to crack a smile, the tension in her face finally easing.

"That sounds fun." Sophie agreed, while Amy pulled them both into the kitchen excitedly.

Being the only one who both knew how to really cook, especially when using Elvin ingredients, and where everything was located in the kitchen, Janessa was made to be the Head Chef.

"Sophie... have you ever cooked at all?" Janessa wondered as she started sifting through the recipe book she had asked Physic to bring from among her old belongings at Alluveterre.

"Umm... kind of? Not with Elvin food though." Sophie said hesitantly, smiling sheepishly at her younger twin.

"So... Are you any good at Alchemy then?"

Sophie winced, and Janessa nodded with pursed lips. "Ok then, you... will be under close supervision then."

Sophie's brown eyes flashed indignantly, and for a second Janessa wanted to take that back —Sophie is definitely not one to be crossed — but then her expression warmed up to a smile. The moonlark could, apparently, somewhat handle being bossed around by her younger sister.

"So, anyways, I made this recipe book basically to convert human food to Elvin food, so that I could make all my favourite food without so many common human ingredients. Most recipes are translations into human ingredients, and I don't actually have a chocolate chip cookie recipe, but I know the human recipe and all the ingredient recipes, so we should be ok." Janessa explained, opening up the page for how to make a butter supplements. "Be warned, the colours are going to be really weird."
