Wondering the streets in the middle of the day with no one but yourself. There's nothing better. This was the rare occasion where the city was actually quiet. Sure there was noise in every corner because ninjago city is never actually quiet, but it felt quiet. Peaceful even, with no villain to challenge that.
In the corner of my eye I saw a familiar face. I looked in confusion towards them. Lloyd? But what was he doing?
I made my way towards him, manoeuvring my way around the mass of children who surrounded him. They were jumping and yelling excitedly. I saw that Lloyd had a bag and he was handing out food to the children around him. As they pushed and pulled each other to get in.
"Patience little ones, there's more than enough to go around." He chuckled
"Lloyd?"
He looked up to see me. His face lit up when he noticed me standing there.
"Oh hey!"
"What's going on here?" I asked
Lloyd looked back towards the children for a second with a look of pity, then back at me. As he continued handing out food to them.
"Just doing my part," he smiled at me
His smile filled with so much emotion, it was beautiful. Lloyd just has one of those smiles that can make anyone around him smile. Whenever I'm down he's there to cheat me up, and it works. I smile back to him.
He soon finishes handing out the last of his food to the poor kids. They were so happy now it was beautiful. He flings the bag over his shoulder and leaves with me by his side.
As we walked through the dark yet brightly lit streets of ninjago, I couldn't help but wonder...
"What exactly is 'your part'?" I asked
Looking at him I saw him look up towards the sky. Remaining silent for awhile. Then he looked towards me with his usual bright smile.
"Those kids are hungry.." he started, " I'm just doing the small part of feeding them ever once and awhile,"
"More like a big part,"
Then I remembered that Lloyd had been making some odd disappearances lately. Is that where he's been going?
"Is that where you've been disappearing off to?" I asked
"Yeah, I just can't help it."
"Y'know Lloyd,"
"Huh?"
"You're too good for this world."
"I guess you could say I'm OUT of this world," he whipped
I sighed at his terrible joke. But it did make me laugh.
"Yes indeed you are."
