There I was, Kai's wedding. Can't believe this day came so soon. To think he moved on and is happy while I'm still heart broken. I wasn't able to move on, not so soon anyway. Yeah it's been a couple of years but...Maybe I'll get over it one day.
He looked so beautiful, so amazing in his red suit. And his soon to be wife, don't even get me started. She was everything. No wonder why she's the one getting married to Kai and not me, she's perfect. Everything i always wanted to be, everything I clearly couldn't be.
I was sad, yeah it stung like an electric eel. But I was happy for them at the same time. They deserve this. They've worked hard to get to this point. I can't be jealous, I shouldn't. What have I done to deserve anything, cried?
When I got the invitation I didn't know how to feel. My heart sunk but, he invited me. Despite everything he thought about me. I couldn't just not show up.
Now I sat here, waiting in anticipation as the bride walked down the aisle. Tears welling in my eyes. She was beautiful, elegant. She didn't stumble or sway like I would have, this spot was meant for her. It always was.
They stood at the alter eyes locked in an ever loving gaze. Said their vowels, promised to always be one and kissed. She got to spend the rest of her life with Kai, not me...
It will never be me...
