Level complete-Jay x Cole

After a long, long day of being a ninja I finally arrived back at the monastery. Everyone was already there as they finished up on their part of the mission.
I was exhausted.

"Hey Cole," Nya waved to me

"Hey," I yawned waving back

I walked off to my room and laid in my bed, but for some reason I couldn't sleep. My mind kept wondering to Jay.

He had taken a pretty nasty fall earlier I wanted to see if he was okay. But I just didn't have the energy to get up. So I just closed my eyes and focused on my breathing, trying to relax.

Knock!
Knock!
Knock!

I heard soft knocks at my door, wondering who they belonged to i lent up on my elbow. Yawning once again.

"Come in," I muttered in a low voice

In popped Jay. His usual cheery smile and bright optimistic eyes. I sighed in relief at just the fact that he was okay. Why did I care so much? I mean sure he's my friend but like for a second I felt something else there.

"Cole foods ready,"

I got up and walked towards him, pulling him into a tight embrace. I felt him tense up.

"Thank god you're ok," I said in a whisper

Letting go I left the room and went to go eat my food. Leaving Jay standing there confused.

After food I walked back to my room, dragging my aching feet against the solid wooden floor. Not having enough energy to even pick them up.

"Cole," A voice said behind me.

I turned my head slightly to see Jay.

"Oh hey," I waved to him from over my shoulder

"What did you mean?"

"Huh?"

"About me being ok??"

"Oh I was just worried about you after you took that fall earlier, that's all," I explained

"Oh well thanks for caring," I wasn't facing him but I could just feel his smile and it made me smile to

"Well I'm off to bed, night Jay," I said with a yawn

"Night! Don't let the bed bugs bite!" I chuckled at his response

Gosh he was such and idiot.

Over the corse of the next few weeks I noticed something very vital, Jay was perfect. From his beautiful smile to his beautifully curled hair. His terrible jokes that always managed to make me laugh despite how bad they were. Even the little things like the way jay would play with his hair when he's stressed or trying to think and the way he mutters and speaks to himself or the way he'd panic and scream when we're in the face of danger. I loved it...I soon realised I loved him.

But how could I fall in love with someone I've lived with for years. We always spend time together and yet I've never felt this way about him before, have I? It's confusing, I don't know how to approach this, do I just straight up tell Jay I have feelings for him or not?

I do know one thing tho, I wanted Jay. Just a hug maybe a kiss, I just wanted to be there with him. I needed to. Maybe he doesn't feel the same way, but it's worth a shot.

I walked towards the gaming room where Jay sat chattering his head off. I knew no one was in there with him, he was just talking to himself. I laughed slightly before entering.

There he was, sat draped in the darkness of the room with only the Tv to light up his gorgeous face. He continued to speak to himself but I knew he knew I was there. I took a seat next to him and simply watched him play for a second. He was so close to beating this level that I was praying for him, but he didn't make it.

"Aw you were so close," I said through gritted teeth

"Ughhh," groaned Jay as he started the level again

I turned my head to look at him, his gaze locked on the Tv with concentration. That's when I absentmindedly placed my hand on his thigh, catching him off guard as he jumped slightly. He looked at me for a split second then back to the Tv.

"Jay," I started

"Hm?" He replied, still not removing his gaze off the Tv, I smiled

"For some reason, I'm attracted to you."

He didn't say anything, he didn't even batt an eye. We sat there in an awkward silence me growing scared and embarrassed. His expression didn't even change, he just continued playing like I hadn't even said anything. I sighed.

"One sec let me beat this level," he finally responded

Classic Jay I guess..i watched in anticipation, nervous, my eyes locked on the screen. After several minutes the 'Level complete' flashed across the screen.

"Yess! I did it!!" Jay cheered

"Well don-"

I was cut of by a pair of arms wrapping around my neck, pulling me down. I looked at Jay, Hugging him back. He was really excited. I chuckled. Jay sighed and pulled back from the hug.

"Wait what!!" Jay exclaimed

"What??" I questioned, confused

"You're attracted?? To ME!?!?" He Shrieked

"Jay you idiot, I said that over 10 minutes ago!"

"But did you mean it!"

"Yes!"

He started to freak out pulling and playing with his hair with his fingers. Muttering soft words to himself.

"Jay?" I questioned

"But why ME?!? I'm an idiot you even said it yourself, " He continued

"That's why I love you," I laughed

His cheeks turning a bright hue of pink. He smiled at me.

"You really mean it?" He asked, calmed down now

"Of course,"

He hugged me again, this time tighter and with more passion. It felt as if he'd never let go. I rubbed circles into his back in a soothing manner, as I felt all the tension leave his body.

"I love you too," I heard him mutter
