The way we met was quite peculiar. It all started on one cold winter morning. The sky foggy, a nip in the air. My body froze from head to toe. Pulling the scarf that was wrapped around my neck just barely over my face. Attempting to trap in the warm air. I felt a shiver run down my spine, as I walked down the seemingly endless street. My foot slipping and sliding on the sparse ice patches that formed on the ground.

Despite the freezing cold, I thought it was a beautiful day. The ground and fences around sparked and glistened. People chattering and beaming. In a joyful mood. It made me happy, smiling to myself.

I was on my way to a friend's house.  One I hadn't seen in forever. Can't even remember the last time we hung out was. I was excited. After all I didn't have many friends I could hang out with, and the few friends I did have obviously have better things to do with their lives than see me. At least they're heading somewhere in life.

The path I took felt like an endless cycle, past houses and buildings of the same. My steps slow as I shuffled my way along. Muscles frozen from the blaring cold air. I could barely feel my fingers, numb. Everything went numb. My breath turning to vapour before my eyes. I smiled. Pulling my scarf even more over my rosy cheeks since it keeps slipping and falling down.

At that moment I turned my head. Spotting a boy across the street. Let me say, he was gorgeous. Stunning even. He had brown fluffy, curled hair and from what I could see his face was covered in the most adorable freckles. He wore a blue hoodie and an orange scarf. He looked amazing. I fell in love. Yea I only looked at him for the first time ever but..This was it. I think he's the one.

When he looked up from his phone, his face softened. I was still staring. Couldn't take my eyes away. He looked over the street. Our eyes met. Locking on one another. He had some gorgeous electric blue eyes. Gosh he was perfect. He stared back at me. I was smiling wide. Pretty sure he was too. If my cheeks weren't already red then they sure as hell would have been now.

All of a sudden. Clank. I stopped in my tracks. Then it clicked into me what had happened. The boy, across the street had bumped into a sign post. Walking face first into it. I burst out laughing. Couldn't contain it.

He held his head in pain. When he looked at me his face was beat red. Not just from the cold. After my laughing fit, I quickly ran across the road. I walked towards him giggling a bit.

"Are you okay?" I laughed out

"Yeah.." he squirmed, his voice cracking

It was squeaky, yet had this charming manner about it. Adorable. My heart melted in an instant. Hearing his voice gave me a giddy feeling inside, as I refrained myself from squealing.

He looked at me again. Still holding his head. In fact rubbing it now. My smile was wide. I could see his read face beaming from underneath his scarf. It barely covered his face now. He moved his hands away from his head slowly. Reaching into his pocket, pulling out a piece of paper. He looked at it.

"Hey do you want my number?" He asked, holding out his paper in front of him for me to take. I laughed, taking the paper from him. Smiling.
