I dragged my feet sluggishly across the hard  wooden floor, to tired to pick them up. I was drained, both mentally and physically. Almost tripping over as I stumbled over to the living room. My thoughts wondered, clouding my brain and I sighed. I knew I needed a break, but I just couldn't bring myself to admit it. I was stronger than this. I thought.

I took a second before I walked into the room to look over my scars. Gazing at all the cuts and bruises that have accumulated on my tan skin during battle. I sighed looking at every ugly scar that ruined my skin, it made me hate myself.

I took a step into the room only to find Lloyd. He sat there, looking so drained. So tired. I wanted to hold him, tell him everything was okay. I knew that wasn't the case. He clutched on to his own body, trying to prevent himself from drifting of into the other world. His eyes closed. Sniffling out shaky sobs that filled the room.

I couldn't bare to see Lloyd like this. I take a step towards him, only to see his breathing increase. I want to help him, help him heal because he deserves better. So much better. I wish I Could do better, so I could take away every one of his worries and smash them out of existence. Lloyd doesn't deserve to feel this way.

"Lloyd?" I questioned, his eyes shot open. He didn't say a word, just looked at me with tears present in the corners of his eyes and I flashes him a genuine smile. Trying to reassure him that everything was going to be okay and eventually we'll all be safe. He couldn't smile back, I saw how desperately he tried. But he was breaking.

I couldn't bare the sight, poor Lloyd. I hurried over to him and pulled him into a tight hug. He shuffled a bit and tried to pull away but he couldn't get away from my grasp. Eventually he calmed down and just let me take him in my arms.

"It's okay Lloyd," I whispered out, rubbing soothing circles into his back. I watched as he buried his head deep within my chest, attempting to hide from the world around us. I slumped back into the chair and pulled Lloyd over onto my lap. Only so I could hood him closer, tighter. I think we both needed the reassurance.

Then without thinking I placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. Lloyd shifted to look at me, although he couldn't look me in the eyes. Before he could lower his head once again I grabbed his chin in a soft touch. Forcing him to look me in the eyes. I lent forward to place my forehead on his.

"Don't worry, we can heal together,"
