Halloween series: Jay

Jay entered the room beaming bright, I turned to look at him. I had just finished putting up the last of the decorations with Zane and Nya. A lengthy process since were all so serious about Halloween, everything must be PERFECT!

"What's got your spirits so high bluebell?" I asked fixing the prop hand that was placed on the table in front of me

"I can't wait till you see my costume! It's amazing!" He jumped up and down as if he were a little kid

I just laughed at him.

"I'm sure it is,"

"Oh you have no idea!"

Maybe Jay was a little too exited for this, but weren't we all? This might actually be the first Halloween in years that we get to celebrate properly, no villains, no evil. That better not change either because I'm exited.

"You exited for the party?" I asked

He squealed and shrieked, jumping up and down once again. Guessing that's a yes.  I laughed, Jay sure is cute when he's exited.

"Go get some rest you dummy,"

In a flash he was gone, disappeared with the wind. I hear a door slide open and shut again, sighing at his stupidity. I bet he's not gonna sleep tonight, I'll have to check on him before I go to bed. I chuckled. He's to cute. A thought that crossed my Mind multiple times.

So the Halloween day came around the corner like it was nothing, literally. I was stoked. And so was everyone else. Excitement and joy filled the monastery. Tonight's the night.

I spent awhile getting on my costume making sure everything was perfect, and I mean PERFECT. I decided last minute that I wanted to be a pirate. Once everything was on and good, my make up done. I walked to where everyone else was gathered out front.

Scanning around I admired everyone's costumes. They were all so amazing. I noticed Jay wasn't outside yet, probably still not ready. God he takes longer than me.

I went around, chatting to the other ninja. Laughing and making jokes. We even poked guesses at what jays costume could possibly be, and why he was taking so long.

"I bet he's attempting to put on a big princess dress," Cole joked

"You think he's gonna be a princess?" Zane questioned

"He is like a damsel in distress sometimes," Kai laughed

"Maybe he's doing makeup?" I asked

"Or face paint" Nya added

Lloyd was over at the sweet bowl, robbing sweets and chocolate before the party had even started. I soon joined him as I grew tired of waiting.

"If he doesn't come out within the next 5 minutes I'll go and check on him," I said, stuffing my face

He did come out soon after. I could tell by the clanking of his feet against the wooden floor.

"Finally!" Lloyd exclaimed

We all turned to face the door, Jays head coming into view. As he stood at the doorway we all stared at him and his costume.

"Uh Jay.." Cole uttered

"It took you so long to do that??" Kai mocked

Nya laughed at the boys response while Zane just stood there.

"You look great," Lloyd said, mouth full of sweets

He stepped out onto the training grounds where the party was being held. Moonlight lighting up his face.

"Omg.." I gasped as I ran forward towards Jay

"What?" He looked behind him as if there was something wrong

"You're adorable!!" I squealed, squishing his cheeks in my hand

"Hey, you're supposed to fear me!" He complained

"Jay you're not exactly scary.." Nya laughed

Long story short he was a Ghost, only the most frickin adorable ghost ever. But it wasn't the type of ghost costume where it was just a bed sheet no, it was more like a cloak. He was gorgeously cute. Gosh I love this boy.

The party finally started soon after as people arrived from all over ninjago in their various costumes. It was a blast. I couldn't help but fond over jay all night tho. He was like a little bean. My little bean. He definitely did have the best costume in my opinion.
