The Dairy

I got out of the shower and got dressed into something super warm. I decided that since today was going to be a cold day that I would wear a pair of thick sweat pants and my plaid jacket. When I walked out to the kitchen I wandered around the small, but perfect size of a guest house. I am so happy that Nick let me stay here, alone where absolutely no one could bother me. I can live alone and feel safe. I heard a knock on the front door to the guest house. I opened it and Nick was standing there. "Hey Norah." Nick said as he peered around the corner.

"Why do you get up so early?" I asked.

"Early bird catches the worm." He replied laughing. He seemed really happy, which was great.

I steeped some herbal tea to help with the pain. Usually I can just put an ice cube in my tea to cool it down, but this time I was cold so I needed the tea warm. I chose lavender, mint, and licorice mixture. Drinking herbal tea makes me feel a lot better. The mint and the lavender aid with my headache and the licorice wakes me up in the morning. Usually I would do dandelion, but I needed something different. I do enjoy rose hip tea a lot.

I heard a knock on the door and Nick went to get it. It was the same people that came over the previous night. "Hey y'all!" Nick said. "Come on in!"

They came in and sat on the couches and chairs. All of us fit into the tiny guest house. I guess that Nick told them to come to the guest house and not the main house. I took notice of a female, who had dirty blonde hair and was probably about 5' 5". I saw her jacket had the name Violet embroidered on the left side. She walked in with a guy, who still wore a black cowboy hat, but this time he wore a green plaid jacket. He didn't match me thank goodness because I wore my black and red plaid jacket to match Nick's. They were obviously flirting.

"So why are y'all back here?" I tried to only figure out one thing: information.

"We have more information. If y'all want it, then we have to talk about it." One of the girls said.

I could hear the conversation between Liam and Eden. "Don't worry..." he said. Eden has been my long time friend from high school. Ever since her senior year she had been dating this cowboy. They are perfect.

"Worry about what?" Eden replied clearly worried about whatever they were talking about.

"I like you too Eden!" He said.

"So! This is probably not a good idea, but what do y'all have to say?" Nick said, completely interfering their conversation.

"We have things on video and via diary. Y'all just haven't found it yet. We have the proof to run them in." One of the girls said. There were only like four people I knew out of the group of these people.

"Listen please, we really want to turn them in so that no one else gets hurt. This has to come to an end no matter what. I'm a Jean and Nick is a Reed. Even though Nick's father did nothing wrong, people would still put two and two together and then people would hate us because we are related to the murders. Even worse if everyone finds out that I'm Berry's sister, then that's not going to end well. Our reputation would be damaged." I said as Nick smiled at me.

"Yeah, that's a problem, but we need to put a stop to this. They will never stop hurting this town. It seems as if this is the end of it all, but the beginning at the same time. They want to take over the town. They wanna own this town. We have to stand up for the amazing farmland and people this town truly stands for. We will all stand behind y'all one hundred percent." Eden said.

"She's right." Liam blurted.

"Norah, you need to have a conversation with your family about this." Another guy said.

"I have and every time it happens, my parents don't believe me. They just turn into flight mode and defend both them and the Dales. They will never stick up for Nick and I. " I said.

"They don't need to stick up for you. That ain't an option and unfortunately never will be. Listen up, we'll have a couple cops there undercover while y'all talk things through." A girl with black hair said. She sat next to a cowboy with longer hair.

"Okay. 'Morrow afternoon." I said.
