We walked back and unsaddled Stryd, who we then walked into Nick's horse trailer. I put our winners 'gold' in the passenger glove box. I helped Nick quickly clean the trailer before leaving. Nick opened the door for me and lifted me up onto the seat. After he shut the door I noticed he was smiling and talking to himself. I noticed that the trailer next to us held a black and gray mare. Nick got in and turned the truck on. "We're gonna go somewhere." He said.
"But Remember the body?"
"Norah, that ain't important now. Berry did it to herself. She escaped and some animal probably got a hold of her."
"Oh gosh. Nick. Did you really have to... say that?" I asked.
"Oh I'm sorry." He held my hand over the center, middle seat.
"It's okay. I've gotta freak you out every once and a while. I do not think it was her. She never ever wore red lipstick. She would only wear a nude color of lipstick." I laughed.
We continued down the road for about thirty minutes until we hit a dead end, or what I thought was a dead end. Arrow would not stop licking my face. "Stop it Arrow!" I joked. Maybe this was finally the end, the end of it all.
