Painful Halloween- chapter 1

The bell of the school finally rings as a desperate crowd of kid's already rushing out the door in excitment because the day is over.

I'm still packing up my bag as my friends wait for me at the class door way٫ not suprised as I take a long amount of time to leave the property.

I finally finish yet still walking at a slow pace as I leave the school with my three friends. We head to the nearby park to hang out and gossip.

We elaborate on how school suck's until they bring up halloween. "Guys٫ don't you know halloween is coming up?" Alexa says in an exciting tone that rushes a sort of worry over me.

"That's like- two weeks away." I respond٫ getting a disapointed face. My friends merely look at me. "Are you not excited?" Zoe's words easily rolling off her tongue and entering my ear drums.

"Not really٫ no." I say as their jaws drop. "Way to bring down the mood." Alexa says in response to my lack of joy for halloween. Zuri standing in silence٫ none of us noticing as we stare at each other. Zoe retaliates; "what are you guys going to dress up as?" Breaking the stare down. "I'm thinking about being a cat or maybe a witch."

Her words inaudible as I look straight into Zuri's eyes in which are staring at the ground and her ear's trying to pay attention to our other two friends.

Alexa responding with; "Cool٫ I'll be a character from the Addams family. Specifically Wednesday." "What about you Amiliea?" Zoe looks to me٫ I'm uninterested looking at Zuri instead٫ her beauty casting me into a warm٫ comfortable and safe feeling. Alexa shakes my shoulder in which snaps my attention back to the conversation. "What?"

"What are you being for halloween?" Alexa looks at me seemingly annoyed and Zoe cross armed next to her. "Oh. I don't know." I say as I steal a quick glimps of Zuri's face not expecting her to be looking me straight in the eye. I turn to her and ask what she's going to be٫ transfering the attention off of me.

Barely able to hear her whisper٫ she say's she's being a police officer. Us not suprised as it's her dream job and she's usually a cop for halloween.

I look into her eyes٫ once again getting lost in the sight as they look back at me. She looks down again٫ seperating the stare we've just held together as Alexa and Zoe stand awkwardly infront of us.

Breaking the silence٫ Zuri announces that she has to go home. We all agree and go our seperate ways.

Hopefully your enjoying this so far and wait to see what happens in the next chapter. I am enjoying the process of writting this and pretty much know what'll happen.

You won't know what to expect until you travel further in the story٫ supporting it as well as me.
