Painful Halloween- chapter 8

I finish sobbing and we both get up as Zuri wipes my tears. I hug her once again and realize Alexa and Zoe had wandered off.

"Thank you Zuri.." I look in her eyes feeling heat run through my cheeks. "It's alright Amiliea. Now٫ where'd those two go?" Zuri looks through the field trying to find them.

"Looks like their by the games." I say٫ and Zuri holds my hand leading us to them٫ "Thanks."
I smile slighty as I follow her steps.

"Heyyyyy! you two okay?" Alexa notices us walk over to the creepy mini golfing area٫ where her and Zoe are standing. "Yeah٫ we're good. What have you two been up to?" Zuri seems to be talking more than usual٫ and now I'm the quiet one.

"Oh٫ just hanging. I'm winning so far." Zoe grins in confidence. "Alright-" Zuri being interrupted by Alexa; "Well I'll beat you at the end Zoe." For some reason it made my blood heat up. I don't know why٫ but I glared at her without anyone noticing.

"I don't think so Alexa!" Zoe turns to Alexa and they start fighting. They seemed so childish right now. "Cut it out guys. I'm going to get a drink٫ I'll be right back." Zuri sounded so strict and it made me want her more.

Before Zuri walked away she whispered to me; "Stay here and don't get in any trouble." I nodded slightly to assure her that I'll be okay.

Zuri went to get her drink and than Zoe went to do her turn٫ which left me and Alexa alone.

I look around the field٫ and notice that Alexa is watching Zuri. "She's nice٫ isn't she?" Alexa looks at me for a second before turning back to Zuri. "Y-yea." I quietly stutter. "Why so quiet Amiliea?" Alexa looks to me looking manipulative. I look in her eyes with confusion٫ "uh."

"Come on٫ I know you like her." Alexa contains herself and tries being nice about it٫ but still٫ I look at Alexa shocked just barely hearing her statement. "What?" I turn to Zuri as Alexa says; "look at her Amiliea٫ look at the way you get lost in her eyes."

I look back to Alexa and stay silent. "I know how you feel about her٫ but look at her. You don't have much a chance to be her girl٫ and I highly doubt she's crushing on you. I mean I caught you crushing on her so take my advice٫ and get over her."

Before I could say anything Zoe call's for Alexa for her to do her turn. "Well٫ bye Amiliea." Alexa walks away as I look to the ground.

I space out and jump when Zuri taps my shoulder and says; "I'm back٫ sorry٫ didn't mean to scare you." I look to her with an upset face. "What's wrong Amiliea?" Zuri looks worried again so I just say; "nothing. Is it lunch yet?"

"In a few minutes٫ why don't we walk over?" she grabs my shoulder and I nod as we start walking. I avoid her hand and we go over to sit by our bags.

By the time we get on the ground the bell rings and Zuri gets her lunch pale out٫ "I packed extra food today so there should be enough for us both. Here٫ pick something."

I look at her and pick out a small bag of chips as I say thank you. "You're welcome." Zuri gets out her sandwhich and we both eat while looking at the empty field.

Can not believe Alexa.😤

Zuri is kind of being more social٫ since she's such a good 'friend' she stands for Amiliea and makes sure that she's alright. She also gaining more self confidence and is starting to find herself as she gets closerr with Amiliea~.
