Painful Halloween- chapter 7

I walk inside my house slightly feeling that sarrow rush through my body٫ but it doesn't stop me thinking about Zuri. I walk into the living room to show everyone my costume٫ also making sure my mom knows not to worry.

As soon as Layla saw it she ran over to look at it٫ "IS THAT BELLE?" "yes Layla-" I look at the excitment in her face. "WOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR HALLOWEEN!" Layla runs around the house. As for my other sisters٫ they didn't care much.

They looked and than went back to what they were doing. "Oh sweetie٫ amazing choice. I hope you have fun tomorrow night." My mom admires the costume and I say "thanks٫ I hope so."

I go to my room٫ feeling exhausted as I lay down. Today felt like a busy day and I just wanted to sleep٫ I was so tired and my mind just kept running.

I thought about Halloween٫ I thought about the plan and I thought about Zuri and school. It was overwhelming٫ so much to think about that I could barely handle it. I put on soothing music and looked at my wall٫ trying to clear my mind. In no time٫ my body fell into a deep slumber.

I woke up late at eight thirty to nine o'clock. As soon as I saw the time I rushed out of bed and got ready for the day. No time for breakfast so I just went on my way to school on a very empty stomach.

I got there in time but out of breath and my friends look at me like I'm crazy. "You okay?" Zuri looks in my eyes but I'm too out of breath to answer so along with the class I just head inside. I set everything up at my stationary forgetting that it's Halloween.

Every Halloween my school does a festive little event that goes on all day. I realize everyones lined up at the door remembering what day it is. I grab my my things in a weary as everyone waits for me.

The whole school goes outside٫ drops their bags and goes to play games٫ dance to music٫ or enters haunted areas of the field. I put my bag next to Zuri's and look at my friends. They can tell I'm exhausted.

"Amiliea٫ are you okay?" Zuri places a hand on my shoulder running it down my arm and than holds my hand. I blush as we hold eye contact but than I look down.

"Please tell me.." Zuri looks all worried and I give in٫ "I'm sorry٫ I'm just starving and I woke up late so I'm super tired." "Have you had breakfast?" Zuri keeps her hand in mine comforting me as we stand on the pavement aside the event.

"No. I haven't even had dinner last night Zuri." I try to control my tone. She can tell I'm not in a happy mood. "Amiliea٫ that's not good. You still packed a lunch though- right?" Zuri says to me as chills run up and down my whole body.

"No I forgot about that." I almost shout feeling disapointed in myself. "Amiliea you have to eat. You're going to share mine." Zuri says to me trying to keep me calm as I feel the tears bottling.

"B-but it's yours Zuri." I stutter as I shake. "You will share it with me Amiliea٫ I'm not letting you starve like this." Zuri notices the tears starting to fall out and hugs me.

I enjoy our embrace and we fall to ours knees while I continue to cry in her arms٫ feeling safe and comforted.
