Painful Halloween- Chapter 20

I woke up٫ still with Zuri except we were laying down together. It felt right to be here with her. Being in her arms got real normal now.

Once I'd just gotten back to life I saw Zuri waking up. She yawned and when she saw we were laying together I could see her cheeks getting so red.

I smiled and when Zuri knew she didn't really have to panic٫ she held me close. I looked at the time once we got up and it was just in time for dinner.

We both head downstairs and eat what Zuri's parents had made us. They seemed lovely but they didn't eat at the table with us. Zuri's parents ate in the living room watching TV.

After a couple bites٫ I realized Zuri getting sad٫ but she acted like this was fine. I knew this was normal for her٫ I knew she wished they'd eat as a family with her.

I placed my hand on her's that was laying on the table. She looked at me with blushy cheeks then ate her dinner quietly.

When we were done and I started getting my shoes on٫ Zuri still looked vulnerable and had her hand on her elbow. "Is it actually ok if I stay at your place tonight٫ again?"

"Of course٫ Zuri٫ come on." I smiled and Zuri got excited. I didn't want to leave her either. We made our way to my house again and held hands.

Once we got to my house٫ Zuri followed me to my room and watched me get ready for bed. She almost didn't turn when I changed. I gave Zuri another pair of my clothes and when we were both all done we ended up in my bed.

I turned out the lights and laid down٫ facing my wall. Zuri put one of her hands between my thighs and the other held my hand. She rested her head on my shoulder behind me٫ got close and we both fell asleep.

When I woke up٫ the sun was bright and Zuri's grip on me was telling me she didn't want to let go. "Good morning٫ Zuri.." I said in a sleepy voice. "Good morning٫ Liea."

Zuri hadn't realized I was awake until I said that. After a minute٫ Zuri finally let go and got out of my bed. I got up with her٫ gave her a quick hug and we both started getting ready for school today.

Evenutally٫ we left the house٫ stopped by hers to get her bag٫ and made it to school. When we saw Alexa and Zoe٫ we both got nurvous٫ but Zuri didn't show it.

My grip on her hand tightened as we got closer to the two by the wall and Zuri stood tall. I had to urge to press our lips together٫ but of course٫ I didn't.

Alexa looked annoyed when she saw us and just looked away٫ and Zoe only copied her. Me and Zuri both took a breath as we walked into the school and to our desks.

As the day went on٫ I held Zuri's hand and we both clung to each other. Alexa was not having it٫ but we just ignored her and she ignored us.

After the bell rang at the end of the day٫ Zuri took me to a nice grassy park with flowers. It was so beautiful.

"I took you here for a reason Liea٫ I have something to tell you." Zuri smiled as she looked me in the eyes.

"What is it?" I slightly laughed. Feeling happy as she held both my hands. "Well٫ for many reasons.. I think we should do something together."

I looked at her confused and when she realized I didn't understand٫ she made it perfectly clear. "Liea." Zuri took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "Please date me?"

My eyes widened and my cheeks got hot. "Zuri.. Of course!" We jumped and squealed and hugged. I've never felt more happy٫ more right.
