Chapter 23

Heleyna's POV

I wake up on my living room couch. I guess I was to tired to go upstairs. I was half asleep until there was a knock at the door.

"MATT!" I half yell. No answer. The person knocks again.

"Michael!" I half yell. Still no answer. The person knocks again.

"UGH IM GOING TO CUT A BITCH!" I yell and open the door and see Rita. "HEY, LONG TIME NO SEE!" She says loudly and pulls me in a bone crushing hug. She lets go and walks in.

"So, I saw on Instagram a picture of you and Hayes at Disneyland." She says getting excited.

"So?" I ask.

"Soooo, what's happening between you guys?" She asks.

"Um, we're kinda dating now." I say.

"OH MY GOD ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!????" She says jumping up from the couch.

"Ya." I say getting worried.

"OH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE YOU GUYS ARE ACTUALLY TOGETHER NOW!" She screams.

"Ugh, Rita?"

"I mean, like, I knew you guys were going to be perfect together and, omg I can't believe this his happening."

"Rita.."

"Omg and like, when do you think your next date would be. When do you think where it would be planned...."

"Rita???"

"The biggest question is how did happen? Where were you when it happened? How did he ask you?"

"RITA!" I scream grabbing her attention.

"What?" She says getting worried.

"I CANT TO IT!" I yell. Her mouth drops open as she plops back on the couch. "What do you mean?"

"I'm leaving in two days."

"Where are you going?"

"I am going to live at the o2l house for a while."

"Oh..."

I look down in disappointment. I wanted to date Hayes, but I didn't want it to be this late. I look up at Rita her face also has disappointment. I guess she wanted this as much as I did. I storm out of the house and run to the park, where the two trees are. I text Hayes to come. After waiting for a few minutes I find him running to me from a distance.

"Hey, what's happening?" He asks looking confused.

"Hayes, I can't do it." I say starting to tear up a little.

"What do you mean?"

"Hayes, I'm leaving tomorrow, and god knows how long I will be gone."

He just looks at me blankly, saying nothing.

"Hayes please say something."

He just keeps looking at me with no expression. I start to walk away but he turns me around and kisses me. It was soft and sweet. He pulls away hugs me.

"It's okay, I can wait." He whispers in my ear causing me to smile.

Da next day

I wake up and get ready for school. I put on some leggings with a long doctor who T-shirt. I then put on my converse and walk out. I don't know why I'm not as dressy as I always am, I'm just in a lazy mood.

I arrive in school and see Danielle crying at the lunch area. I immediately run up and hug her.

"What happened?" I ask her.

"I broke up with Cameron." She says in between sobs.

"Why? What happened?" I throw questions.

"He keeps getting arrested and has me bail him out every time. Now because if that my family is broke. Our neighbors are paying for our food and my mom and dad both have to work 2 jobs to help keep the house and I hardly get to see them now." She says sobbing more.

"It's ok." I say. "Tell you what, I have a bunch of money saved, I will give you some to go buy groceries with. And some to go get yourself new outfits. Okay?"

"You would do that for me?" She sniffs. I nod my head and give her one last hug before going off to class.

Da next day......again

I wake up with another knock at the door. I'm seriously going to cut someone if they keep doing this.

I open the door and see Jc standing there.

"Jc, what are you doing here?" I ask.

"Heleyna, it's time to go......"
