Chapter 28

Heleyna's POV

I wake up with Sam still next to me. I check my phone and see my text messages blown up. I read some of them and see that they found out what I did last night. I guess one of the guys told them. I check the date on my phone. "Today is the day." I whisper to myself. I get out of Sam's grip and go to my closet. I take out my only black dress and I go into the bathroom to change. It was pretty fancy but it was the only one I had since I left some of my clothes behind.

I go into my box where I keep my money and I take out $30. I walk downstairs and went out the door. I walk to the nearest market and I buy a large cupcake with a few candles. I then but a balloon and tie it to the cupcake container and I get roses and matches. And with that I call a cab and I tell him to head to the cemetery. I go up to her grave and I sit down.

I take the cupcake out of the container and set it right next to her name. I put a candle in it and light it with a match. I then take the roses and set them right next to the cupcake.

"Happy birthday Mikayla. I really wish you were here right now. So much has happened ever since you left me. I'm sorry I didn't get to celebrate your birthday those other times. I was..ugh.. out of the state. But I'm here now aren't I. I just wish you could do the same...." I say. I didn't know what else to say. I blow the candle and start walking away.

"Heleyna." I hear someone say. I turn around and there standing before me was Mikayla.

Sam's POV

(This was 2 minutes after Heleyna left)

I wake up in Heleyna's bed and find her not there. I get up and search the house for her but she wasn't there. I walk to the back yard and didn't find her. Where did she go? What if she ran away? Or worse....what if she went to jump off a bridge or something? I dash back inside and start banging on everyone's bedroom doors.

"CONNOR,KIAN,EVERYONE WAKE UP HELEYNA IS GONE!" I scream causing everyone to run out of their rooms.

"What do you mean gone?" Trevor asks.

"I fell asleep next to her last night to keep her company and when I woke up this morning she was gone." I say.

"Well did you search the house?" Kian asks.

"Of course I did." I say as Kian starts pacing back and forth.

"Ok we have to think, where could have she gone?" Connor says.

"Guys..." Jc says looking at his phone.

"What?" We all say together.

"It's Mikayla's birthday." he says showing us the date.

Shit...

Heleyna's POV

"Is that really you?" I ask.

"Yep" She says. I was nearly jumping from excitement.

"OMG I WISH I COULD HUG YOU RIGHT NOW BUT...." I say.

"Haha you could, this isn a cheesy ghost movie." She says, yep she hasn't changed a bit. I run up and hug her and I could feel her hug back. This is crazy.

"So can other people see you or just me?" I ask.

"People can see me if I want them too." She says.

"So how's it being dead?" I ask.

"Actually it's not that bad, I mean like I'm not inspiring up to kill yourself or anything but I can do anything I want. Let me show you, follow meeeee!" She says and starts running and I follow her.

Jc's POV

"Do you think she went to the cemetery?" I ask.

"Ya but where would it be?" Sam asks.

"Oh I know one a few blocks from here!" Ricky yells out.

"Let's go." I say.

"I will stay here just in case she comes back." Kian says.

We nod and run straight to the car.

I hope she is ok.

Heleyna's POV

We run down the street and stop.

"Ok do you see that guy over there?" She asks pointing at a guy with a white tank top with a back wards had and sagging his pants.

"Woah, he is sagging too low." I say covering my eyes.

"Ya I know, so look what I'm going to do." She says. She them points at him with two fingers then she does a downward motion causing the guys pants to completely fall down. He notices a little too late because he trips and face plants on the ground. Me and Mikayla laugh uncontrollably.

"Oh my god Mikayla you haven't changed a bit." I say.

"You either." She says and we hug again.

"Heleyna!" I hear someone call my name from a distance. I see the guys rush up to me but they stop and open their eyes wide.

"Um can they see you?" I ask.

"Yep." She says.

"Oh my god it's Mikayla." Jc says.

"Hey sorry but I have to go." Mikayla says.

"What? Now?" I ask.

"Yes, but don't worry you can see me anytime, all you have to say is "Mikayla I need you" and poof I will appear and we can talk and things like that. But right now I'm going to go surprise Shawn so wish meh luck." She says fading away.

I then look at the guys with their mouths dropped open. I just laugh and lead the way home.

"Heleyna we are going to get Taco Bell wanna come?" Rick asks.

"Nah just bring me back a taco." I say and continue walking home. But once I got there, I saw something unbelievable.

Hayes was beating up Kian....
