Chpater 45

Heleyna's POV

We start walking around the area a bit. It's beautiful at night. Kinda reminds me of Vegas. Me and Hayes stayed quiet so far. I guess it's because we have nothing to talk about. Or maybe it's just too awkward. I mean, he did ask to hang out, out of no where. Does he like me? No! What are you thinking Heleyna! He has a girlfriend. Every once in a while, as we walk, we would look at each other smile. His eyes are beautiful. Especially when they glisten from the building lights.

"Um, is there a specific place your going to take me?" I ask trying to start a conversation.

"Not really." He says. He turns and stops me in my tracks. "Just wanted to spend time with you." He says holding my hand. I look down and smile. But then I think of Taylor and my smile fades. I let go of his hand.

"Something wrong?" He asks looking worried.

"No, nothing at all." I say putting on my best smile. We continue walking until, all of a sudden I was grabbed be the wrist by Hayes. He pulls me somewhere.

"Where are we going?" I ask as he pulls me across the street.

"LASER TAG!" He yells like a kid as he drags me into a building that says 'laser tag' on it. YAAAS!! THIS IS MY SHIT RIGHT HERE!!

We pay for our entry and put on our gear. We walk over to a table with all of the laser guns I shapes of real guns.

There were laser guns in the shapes of assault rifles, heavy machine guns, sun machine guns, revolvers, and normal pistols. I look at the table and wonder which one to get. I see Hayes grab one shaped as an assault rifle. I look back at the laser guns. I grab the one shaped as a pistol. It's light enough and I've always used this kind of gun.

Me, Hayes, and like 30 other people walk into the arena. It looked amazing. (Bottom picture 😀)

As me and Hayes explore the little maze we hear the announcer.

"Attention all competitors. Welcome to Laser Tag. To start your laser guns, just simply press the big red button. If you get hit, your vest will start blinking and your gun will shut off. Once hit, you are to be escorted out of the arena. Winner will win a special prize in the end. Good luck in each and every one of you. The game starts in 3......2.....1.....NOW!!" The announcer says.

Oh geez. I press the red button on my laser gun and drag Hayes with me behind a wall.

"2 ARE OUT!" The announcer says. Yes 30 more to go.

I turn the corner to find someone trying to shoot at me. What's cool about the guns is that when you shoot, it sets off a red laser/light so you could dodge.

"I didn't bring you here so you won't talk to me you know." Hayes says turning the corner and shoots someone, getting them out.

"Oh ok so talk then." I say turning my head over the corner again. I see a laser shot at me. Just in time though, I turn back to cover and watch the laser miss.

"So, who was the song about?" Hayes asks as he drags me behind another wall.

"I don't know what your talking about." I say and get another person out.

"SEVEN PEOPLE TOTAL ARE OUT!! 25 LEFT TO GO!" The announcer says.

"That song you sang earlier today." He says and grabs my arm making me face him. "Was it about me?" He asks with puppy eyes.

Should I tell him? I think I should. Wait Heleyna! He has a girlfriend. Am I seriously going to ask this. UGH FUCK IT! I look at his eyes then at his feet. I take one last look at his am eyes and smile.
