Chapter 3

Heleyna's POV

"HELEYNA WAKE UP, TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL!"My mom yells from downstairs waking me up.

"I DON'T WANT TO GO!" I yell back.

"GET UP, HAYES AND NASH ARE GOING TO BE HERE ANY MINUTE TO PICK YOU UP!" She says with excitement.

Wait Hayes and Nash? They go to the same school as me? Oh, geez, she really wants me to make new friends. I finally get up out of bed and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I then go to my closet and take out a shirt that says 'I Hate Monday's' and shorts. I then put on black converse.

I brush my hair and grab my black Jansport backpack and head downstairs and find Nash sitting on the couch.

"Hey Nash, where's Hayes?"I ask.

"Oh, he went to school with Maddie." He says.

He gets up and walks out the door and I follow him since I have no idea where the school is.

"So..." I say trying to think of something to talk about.

"So?" He says back.

"When are we going to the fair?" I ask.

"Saturday." He replies.

The rest of the walk was pretty silent. None of us knew what to talk about. We arrive at the school and it was really big.

"I'm not going to get lost in the school and I?" I ask . To be honest i am really nervous.

"Probably not." He chuckles.

He takes me to the office so I can pick up my schedule. I walk up to a lady with short, blonde hair and glasses and on her desk it had a sign that said Mrs. Petro.

"Mrs. Petro?" Nash asks approaching the desk.

"Yes Nash, how may I help you?" She says with a big smile.

"This is Heleyna Wilson, she is new to this school and needs a schedule." Nash says introducing me.

She fixes her glasses and types things on the computer. She then holds her glasses and reads the screen carefully.

"Oh! Heleyna, yes, you transferred from Glendora High School." She said not taking her eyes off of the computer.

She grabs a half sheet of paper and hands it to me.

"Here is your schedule sweetie, have a nice day." Mrs. Petro says going back to her computer.

Me and Nash walk outside of the office and look at my schedule.

"Cool you have all classes with me and Hayes!" He says with excitement.

"Yay now I won't have that awkward moment when I sit to a random person." I say. He shows me to my locker and hands me my new textbooks for all of my classes. Luckily his locker is across from mine so if I have a question I won't have to get lost to look for him.

"Ok I have to go find my friends see ya in a bit." He says walking away.

"See ya." I say trying to shove my books in my small locker.

Nash's POV

I really wish I didn't have to leave. Being around her is so fun, but I have to go find my friends or I will never hear the end of it. I finally find Cameron and Carter near my first period.

"Ooooooooooo Nash I saw you talking to that girl over there." Cameron says as I walk up.

"So, who is she?" Carter asks curiously.

"Her name is Heleyna and shes my new new neighbor, I was just showing her around." I say while looking at her. She was struggling got put her books in the locker. It was kinda cute and funny.

"So you like her?" Cameron asks.

"WHAT? ME? NO!" I say loudly causing some people to stare at me.

"Hey, she is coming this way." Carter says quickly.

"Hey Nash sorry to bother you, but where is first period? She asks.

"It's 4 doors down." I say.

"Ok thanks." She says and walks off.

Heleyna's POV

I walk down the direction Nash told me to go and I bump into someone and drop all of my papers, pencils, and notebooks.

"Watch where you're going you jerk."

"Sorry." I say. I look up and find a girl with curly, blonde hair and brown eyes. She had a flowy, pink crop top on and faded blue high waisted shorts. She also had a pink bow in her hair and she had black wedges.

"Next time you will regret it." She says and walks off.

I think I regret it already. I start to pick up my things and I see hands reach down and grab some things. I look up and see Hayes. We make eye contact. God he is just so cute. I know I just got out of a rough relationship but seriously if you lock eyes with Hayes Grier, you just instantly just fall for him.

"Hey Heleyna." He says with a smile handing me my pencils and pens.

"Hi Hayes." I say grabbing my pencils out of his hand.

Hayes' POV

I help Heleyna pick up the rest of her things while thinking back when we locked eyes. The way her green eyes shined in the light. They were beautiful. She is beautiful. Wait what. SLOW DOWN HAYES, you have a girlfriend.

"Thanks." She says with a smile. I can't help the way she looks. She's perfect.

"No problem." I say with a huge smile. We stand there awkwardly for a little bit, just staring at each other.

"Well I should probably get to class." She says.

"Let me see your schedule." I say taking it from her hand. I look at each class and the teacher's names. wow she has every class with me, YAY.

"Cool you have my whole schedule." I say looking at her.

"Ya Nash told me." She said. Oh ya, I was supposed to walk with her and Nash to school today. Why am I such an idiot?

"Well you want to go to class with me?" I ask.

"Sure." She says giggling a little.

Her giggle is even cute.
