Chapter 5

Nash's POV

15 minutes earlier

I drop off Heleyna at her house watching her limp to her door. I walk to my house and unlock my door and walk inside to find Hayes smiling.

"Why are you smiling?" I ask

"Maddie wants to go on another date tonight." Hayes says with his smile growing bigger.

"Listen I have to talk to you about something very serious." I say sitting down. Instantly his smile turned into a frown.

Hayes' POV

I see Nash has a worried look on his face. This can't be good.

"Heleyna got punched in the stomach today." Nash says looking down. What!! Someone punched Heleyna?

"What! By who?" I say sitting up. This is serious.

"B-By M-Maddie." He he says. What! Maddie? No.

"No. It can't be Maddie. She won't hurt a fly." I say trying to convince myself.

"Hayes it's true." Nash says with his voice growing louder.

"NO! YOUR LYING! YOUR JUST JEALOUS THAT I CAN AT LEAST KEEP A RELATIONSHIP UNLIKE YOU, YOU CAN'T EVEN KEEP A RELATIONSHIP FOR A WEEK!" I yell. I then fell a stab of pain in my stomach and fall to the ground. Nash punched me. But it doesn't stop there.

He keeps punching and kicking me, having each hit hurt more than the last one. After a long while of Nash beating the hell out of me, he walks out the front door and slamming it behind him leaving me on the kitchen floor in pain.

After minutes of lying there, I finally have the strength to get up. I walk out the front door still seeing that my mom's car isn't here. I should go to Heleyna. She is the only person I could turn to right now.

I walk up to her front door and knock on the door noticing that I have bruises forming everywhere on my arm.

The door opens and I find Heleyna's smile fade away instantly.

"OMG, HAYES WHAT HAPPENED?!?"

She says noticing the bruises starting to form.

"N-Nash beat me up." I studder.

Heleyna's POV

I immediately bring Hayes inside and have him sit on the couch while I get an ice pack and put on his face and arms.

"Tell me what happened." I demand.

"Well, Nash came home and told me something that made me yell something he doesn't like when I mention it and he did this to me." He says.

"What did he say that made you go off like that." I ask.

"H-he said that Maddie punched you in the stomach." He said looking at me. "Did she punch you?"

I look down. I can't tell him the truth. It will hurt their relationship and Maddie would blame it on me.

"Ok well I should get going." He says getting up.

"Ok and be careful." I said thinking about what Nash did to him.

He nods his head and walks out the door and I go back upstairs and find Matt sitting on my bed and on his phone. I decide to scare him .

I slowly open the door and approach behind him. "MATT WATCH OUT!!!" I yell and jump on him.

"What the hell Heleyna, you scared the crap out of me!" He says holding his hand over his heart in relief.
