Chapter twenty one:Train to Montana

Nadia was slower now and it was starting to take them a lot longer to even walk a full mile.
"I don't think we can make it at this rate the dogs are gonna catch up."Nadia huffed
"I saw a sign that said Salt Lake city and I think if we make it there we could catch a train to Montana."Gunner said
"Let's do it!"Nadia said
The slowly made it in two days to Salt Lake city and Gunner carried Nadia on his back again. When they got near the train station they heard a distant robotic barking.
"Crap,the dogs are back..."Gunner growled
They were trying to hide when they saw the train to Montana leaving.
"We gotta go!"Nadia exclaimed
"Right..."
Gunner ran with Nadia and almost jumped on an opening to the train when a robot dog grabbed the jacket Nadia's leg was wrapped in. The pull of the jacket was hard enough to pull Gunner and Nadia to the ground.
The dog grabbed Nadia's injured leg and tried dragging her away again.
Gunner activated his tail and shot spikes all around the dogs with a loud yell.
Nadia ducked her head and one of the spikes grazed the side of Nadia's shirt. It didn't harm her but it did rip the fabric.
All the robo dogs in the area were destroyed and Gunner quickly picked up Nadia and made a run for the train.
Gunner managed to grab the edge of a train cargo and climbed in.
"We...made...it!"Gunner huffed
"Next stop Montana."Nadia said
"What are we going to do about the dogs when we get there,we can't fight them all by ourselves."Gunner said
"We can ask Sonic,Tails,and Knuckles to help."Nadia said
"I feel like I'm not going to be very welcomed by them."Gunner said
"What do you mean?"Nadia asked
"Well I was forced to work with Robotnik when he captured you and they don't know me like you do."Gunner replied
"It'll be fine,I won't let them hurt you."Nadia said
"I think we should rest up until we get there,I don't know about you but I'm exhausted."Gunner said
"Yeah,good night Gunner."
"Good night Nadia."
