We drove until we reached Mthatha Dam. The time was around 1:30 pm. He opened the car door for me, and I stepped out. He took my hand.

I asked, "What are we doing here?"

He replied, "It's your birthday. Come, let's go. You look beautiful, by the way."

I teased, "You look hot yourself."

He chuckled, "Yeah, well, I aim to please."

I grinned, "And I am."

He inquired, "Still mad at me about the Aya thing?"

I replied, "You had your reasons."

A quaint gazebo stood gracefully, framing a picturesque scene. Positioned in the heart of the gazebo, a small table adorned with an elegant touch of black, white, and a hint of passionate red awaited. The table was a canvas of artistry, displaying tasteful decorations that added a touch of romance to the ambiance.

Within this intimate space, two figures caught the eye. One, a gentleman wielding a camera, ready to capture moments frozen in time. The other, attired in the attire of a waiter, exuded an air of sophistication and service. Together, they added an element of mystery and allure to the charming rendezvous spot.

I exclaimed, "You seriously got someone to tape this?!"

He replied, "Well, my family and your friends wanted this day on tape, so yeah."

Bae opened the chair for me, and I sat down as he pushed it back. He then took his seat. The waiter approached us, introducing himself, "Hi, my name is Sive, and I will be your waiter for today. I heard it's your birthday, so Happy Birthday, beautiful lady," he said, kissing the back of my hand. Bae shot him a death stare.

I responded, "Thank you, Sive."

The waiter left, and I remarked, "This is beautiful."

Bae said, "Not as beautiful as the birthday girl." Our emojis reflected the joy of the moment.

I inquired, "Where did you get the time to prepare all this? And who told you I loved this place?"

He admitted, "I was hoping you wouldn't ask."

"Well, I did. Now answer," I insisted.

He confessed, "Aya."

"Aya?" I questioned.

He explained, "She told me about your idea of a romantic lunch date."

"She did?" I was surprised.

"Yes, she helped me set it up, hence the chocolates," he explained.

I acknowledged, "I see."

"I hope you're not mad," he said.

"I'm not, I'm just shocked," I admitted.

"Your friend loves you, you know," he pointed out.

"But she loves her boyfriend more, I get it," I sighed.

"Let's talk about something else," he suggested.

"Please," I agreed, and we spent the time chatting about sweet nothings. Our starters arrived, followed by the main course. By the time dessert was served, I was super full and ready to go home.

"God, I'm so full. When are we going home?" I asked.

He replied, "Spoiler alert!"

"Okay, fine, I'll be quiet," I acquiesced.

"I just have one last surprise for you," he revealed.

"This alone was enough," I said.

"Come, let's take a walk," he suggested. He stood up, took my hand, and we walked towards the water, watching the sun set. I was captivated by the beautiful view.
