25 October - Matric Year End Function

The dinner went well, and Sandz went home. My granny liked him, and she was impressed. Of course, we wore clothes, and as the MC, I had to look the part. Luckily, it was hot, so I wore black high-waist skinny jeans, a white loose vest tucked on one side, a red and black check long shirt, and white All-Star sneakers. My fellow MC, Andile, wore black ripped skinny jeans, a white long-length t-shirt, a black leather jacket, and white sneakers. We looked hot, if I say so myself.

The moment we stepped on stage, the crowd went wild, and I was impressed with us.

"Hello, everyone. I'm sure all of you know me, so I won't bother introducing myself. Still, I will introduce my fellow Hot MCee, Andile. My nigga, you look good," I said.

"Thank you, headgirl. Oh, sorry, I mean ex-headgirl. I must say you look beautiful today," he responded.

"Isn't it a bit hot for the leather jacket, though?" I teased.

"It's never hot for swagging," he confidently declared, prompting screams from the crowd.

"Oh... Lesson learned. Let's not waste these fine people's time and get onto it," I continued.

"Indeed. Up first, we have a performance by the drama club," Andile announced.

Aya and her crew came and did a performance about drug abuse and how it's wrong. The crowd listened attentively and enjoyed the presentation. After they were done, Andile and I returned to the stage.

"Wow. Did you guys learn anything from that?" I asked.

"Yes!" the crowd responded.

"I can't hear you," Andile playfully teased.

"Yes!" the crowd shouted louder.

"Well, next up, we have our MCee's crew. What will you and your crew be doing for us?" I inquired.

"Well, wouldn't you like to know?" Andile replied with a smirk.

"Yoh, okay then. The stage is all yours," I said.

Andile's crew crumped, and boy were they good. But one performance I was really looking forward to was Sandiso and Sbu's performance. When they were done, I went back on stage alone.

"Well, Andile had to go change, of course. Did you guys enjoy that?" I asked.

"Yes!" the crowd enthusiastically responded.

"Well, we decided to switch things up this year by doing a little something something... Do you guys want to know what that something is?" I teased.

"Yes!" the crowd shouted in anticipation.

"I guess you'll have to wait until the end of the show," I teased further.

"No!" the crowd protested.

"Haibo, guys. Well, okay, fine. We decided to include the grade 3's. Our matrics each picked a kid who will hand-deliver a gift to our crushes in the Matrics of 2013. But the catch is that the kid doesn't tell the crush who the gift is from," I explained.

The crowd screamed with excitement.

"You guys will each write the name of a matriculant you would like to see here on stage being given a little something something from their secret admirer. The matriculant with the most gifts will get a gift voucher and will be crowned as the most loved. Do you guys understand how this will work?" I asked.

"Yes!" the crowd replied enthusiastically.

I stepped forward, addressing the excited crowd, "Start writing a name, and Alexis Goodman will randomly pick from you guys 10 names, okay?" The eager participants immediately got to work, scribbling down the names of their chosen matriculants. Andile returned to my side as we prepared for the next segment of the show.
