We got to the flat and Kay was there watching tv.
"Hey, Kay," we greeted warmly.
"You guys are back?" Karen inquired, a curious expression on her face.
"Where's my boetie?" I asked, eager to catch up.
"He's at his place," Karen replied, hinting at some unspoken story.
"I thought you were sleeping at his place," Siya added.
"No," Kay replied.
"Why not?" Aya inquired.
"Nje," Kay shrugged.
"So, what did you guys do?" Alex chimed in.
"He took me out on a date. Well, sort of a date," Kay revealed with a smile.
"Ncoooh, that's sweet. Where did you guys go?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"Gateway Eatalian. It was just beautiful, guys. After, we went to Zara, and he bought me a pair of heels and a bikini and...." Kay began, her voice trailing off.
My phone rang, and the screen displayed Sandz's name with a happy emoticon.
"I have to take this. Don't continue without me," I declared, sticking my tongue out playfully at Aya.
As I took the call in the room, Sandz spoke, "Sithandwa sam."
"Hey," I responded.
"I'm sorry. My phone was in my room, and I was in the bathroom," Sandz apologized.
"It's fine," I reassured him.
"You sure?" he asked.
"Yeah," I confirmed.
"I'm sorry, neh. I promise I will make it up to you, vah," Sandz promised.
"It's ok, really," I replied.
"So how's Durban, lady?" he inquired.
"It's beautiful; we just got back from UShaka. How's the ladies?" I shared.
"It's nice; I didn't know how much I had missed this place, shame," Sandz admitted.
"That's good," I said.
"What were you doing before I called?" Sandz asked, shifting the conversation.
"Karen was telling us about her date with my brother," I informed him.
"Girls and juicy gossip. I'm sure they're going to want to know about this phone call," Sandz teased.
"Hahaha, you know them all too well," I chuckled.
"But Princess, I miss you," Sandz confessed.
"What do you miss?" I inquired with a playful tone.
"Your touch. Your lips when we kiss. The way you dig on my back with your nails when we have sex," he elaborated, making me giggle.
"Ok, ok, stop, I get the point," I said, blushing.
"Oh my god, you're blushing," Sandz pointed out.
"Mxm, tsek," I retorted.
"You totally are," he insisted.
"No, I'm not!" I protested.
"Men don't blush," Sandz declared.
"I know mine does," I countered.
"Mxm, yheeyi wena, stop it," Sandz playfully scolded.
"The effect I have on you, though," I teased.
