Breaktime arrived, and I went to Aya's class to look for her, but once again, she wasn't there. As I roamed the hallways, I bumped into Bae.

"Looking for someone?" he asked, holding my waist.

"You wish. Have you seen Aya?" I questioned.

"She hasn't been in school since yesterday," he informed me.

"Yeesh. Okay, thanks," I replied.

"What's up?" he inquired.

"Nothing. Thanks, babe. I'll see you around," I said, excusing myself.

"Uh, okay," he responded.

I headed to our usual spot, where the girls were engrossed in conversation. Someone tapped me.

"Huh?" I turned to Siya.

"Where were you just now?" she asked.

"Ah, sorry, man. What were you saying?" I apologized.

"Sisanda and Andile," Kay chimed in.

"What? No way?" I exclaimed.

"Better believe it," Alex confirmed.

"No offense, but they look good together, shame," Siya added.

"None taken," Alex assured.

"When did they happen?" I asked, eager to catch up on the gossip.

Alex shared the news, "Apparently, they've been happening since your birthday."

I raised an eyebrow, "And you okay with that?"

"I don't think that matters, really," Alex replied.

"Of course, it does," Siya interjected.

"It's not like Andile needs my permission if he wants to move on. Besides, Ethan and I are," Alex coughed.

I leaned in, curious, "What?"

"You lie," Siya accused.

Kay joined in, "How long?"

Alex proudly declared, "Last day of exams."

The excitement in the room erupted into cheers.

"Finally!" I exclaimed.

"Was about time," Kay agreed.

"And stick to your kind this time," Siya teased.

We all laughed, and Alex added, "But black guys stay winning."

"Can't argue with you there," Kay conceded.

Siya continued her banter, "Alex is just saying that 'cause niggas are more packed down there than whites. I don't know what Kay is referring to with her statement."

"Mxm, whatever, guys," Kay dismissed.

"Mahle, help us out here," Siya turned to me.

"Well, Sandz is packed, and I know my brother is too," I shared.

Alex grinned, "See. I'm just praying that E is packed too."

Judging the situation, Siya predicted, "Judging by his hands, baby girl, you'll get D good enough to last you for years to come. That ish gonna paralyze you."

Laughter filled the room, and Kay teased Siya, "I swear you are a dick professional."

"I've seen enough to last me years, baby girl," Siya boasted.

I chimed in, "Liar! You talk the talk, but you don't give it up to just anybody."

Siya admitted with a laugh, "Hahaha, okay, okay, Ama, you're right."
