After we finished watching the video, Alex and Kay had tears streaming down their faces.

Kay, wiping her tears, said, "I don't know what to say."

Alex chimed in, "Marry him, friend."

Siya, always curious, asked, "So, you never got laid?!"

Alex responded with enthusiasm, "This is better than getting laid, bruh."

Siya defended herself, "I was just asking, nje."

I rolled my eyes, "Mxm. No, I did not."

Siya gasped, "He gave Aya a box of chocolates? :O"

Alex questioned, "What?"

I confirmed, "Yep, says she helped him set the surprise up."

Kay couldn't believe it, "And we weren't available?"

I explained, "He says Aya knows me better than all you guys."

Siya mused, "Mh."

Alex agreed, "He's got a point though."

Siya, still not convinced, added, "But still, it didn't give him the right to buy her such expensive chocolate!"

Kay teased, "I think you're jealous because he didn't buy you anything."

Siya retorted, "I thought you knew me by now. I'm no good Samaritan like you."

I questioned, "What are you saying?"

Siya confessed, "That I got your boyfriend to buy me these beautiful earrings I saw at Foschini."

Alex laughed, "Geez, Siya."

Siya defended herself, "What?!"

Kay scolded, "That was a wrong thing to do!"

Siya justified, "I didn't even ask him for them. He offered to get me something for my help, and who was I to refuse a free gift?"

I advised, "You could have said no."

Kay agreed, "Ama is right."

Siya brushed it off, "Except I didn't. Now, can we drop it already?"

Alex, smirking, commented, "You and Sandz make me wanna fall in love."

I teased, "Hahaha, you should, buddy." Turning to Kay, I inquired, "So, where did you and Alu disappear off to?"

Kay, giggling, said, "You don't wanna know."

I insisted, "Actually, I do."

Kay spilled the beans, "Remember I told you I got accepted in Cape Town? Well, he applied for a job there, and so he'll be staying there as of next year."

I exclaimed, "Wow."

Alex hinted, "That's not all."

I asked, intrigued, "There's more?"

Kay proudly displayed a beautiful necklace, "He got me this."

I marveled, "Wow, Karen, you've really changed him."

But then, Kay confessed, "Guys, I'm scared."

Siya probed, "Of?"

Kay admitted, "This. Alu and I."

Alex questioned, "Why?"

Kay revealed, "I don't know. I feel like he's moving too fast. He is my first boyfriend, what if I screw up?"

I reassured her, "You won't."

Kay doubted, "You don't know that, Ama."

Siya looked at me with those comforting eyes, "Babygirl, if there's one thing I know about love, it's that it's patient. It waits for the right person and the right time. If you feel like he's moving too fast for you, slow him down, babygirl, because at the end of the day, both of you are in this."
