Alright... listen... there's a lot of violence in this... but there's also a bit of a spicy scene toward the end. It's not like full out yk but it's still HEAVILY implied like HEAVILY so you've been warned

"Teach!" The man bellowed.

In the early morning sun, Ed had to shield his eyes. The ship rocked violently. Ed fell down, landing just at Stede's feet. He looked upwards and gasped, rolling over as a sword struck the ground by where his head had been. The British Captain had followed them to the stern. He stood over Ed, bringing his blade up once more. Ed went to grab his sword, but it was gone. He flinched slightly as a blade appeared from the chest of the Captain. Ed felt blood spatter his face. He watched the blade quickly withdraw. The Captain fell onto him with a thud, soaking him in blood. He heard Stede whimper from behind him. As he pushed the dead (or dying) man off of him, he wiped his face. He blinked away specs of blood for a moment before he sat up.

He recognized the face that stood in front of him.

"Caesar?" Ed asked with wide eyes.

The man held his hand out to Ed. Ed took it and let himself be brought to his feet.

"You're getting soft. I'd never picture you getting knocked over like that!" The man roared.

Henri "Black" Caesar had traveled with him for a while. Caesar was tall and muscular, with dark skin and white paint covering his face. The paint was smeared in a pattern that somewhat resembled a skull. He wore a large woven hat adorned with bones and a large orange feather. He was wearing a heavy fur cloak.

Stede looked absolutely terrified. Ed couldn't blame him; Caesar could cut through him without so much as a thought. Caesar raised his blade again, turning it to Stede.

"Wait!" Ed said quickly. "He's with me! He's mine!"

Caesar lowered his sword with a brow raised. Ed leaned down and picked up the sword that the Captain had dropped.

"Fine," Caesar said, eyeing Stede curiously. "I saw your flag on that ship and saw you were in trouble."

Ed leaned close to him. "Bad idea, Mate. I'm trying to fake my death."

Caesar raised a brow. "Really?"

Ed nodded.

"Well, now my ship is destroyed."

Ed chuckled. "I've got a body that looks just like me on the Revenge. If I can get back to it, You can 'kill' me and offer me to the British. They'll probably let you go."

"They won't have a choice," Caesar replied.

Stede was worried for his crew. He glanced around and found most of them. He was only missing Lucius and Jim. Caesar stepped in front of him and Ed.

"I'll hold them off. Go do whatever you have to."

Ed grabbed Stede by the hand and hurried down the stairs. A plank had been put up between the Revenge and the ship next to it. He pulled Stede across the plank, just barely making it over before the ship shuddered again and began to sink. On the opposite side, more British men were climbing onto their ship. Stede gasped quietly. As Ed paused to look for Jim, he heard a shout from above.

As he looked up, he saw Jim swinging onto him. Jim landed with their legs wrapped around his shoulders. He landed on his back with a wince, pain shooting through his shoulder. Jim stood up, grabbing him by the collar and yanking him to his feet with surprising strength. Jim raised their sword and Ed met their blade with his own. He frowned deeply as Jim's blade thrusted toward him.
