****Author's note: Don't worry guys thing finally pick up after this XD.***

You lay on the couch moving over so Touya can lie down as well. You feel your heart race with happiness. You had missed him so much, even if he wasn't the same. He was still here in this room. But how much does that matter when he feels so far away, even as he lies next to you? You look up at the ceiling unable to fall asleep. You just lay there in the dark listening to Touya's soft raspy breaths.

"Touya?"

A soft growl escapes him as he lays still next to you.

"My name isn't Touya anymore."

"Then what is it?"

"Dabi."

I look into the darkness dully.

"That isn't funny."

"Does it look like I'm laughing?"

His sharp words cut right through you. His voice didn't have a hint of kindness. You sit up, getting off the couch and holding your shoulders. You whisper out softly, scared of what he would say.

"Who did I pull from that fire?"

He didn't answer you, the silence slowly crushing you.

"T-Dabi, what are you planning on doing?"

"If your smart enough to know I'm not that kid you knew. Then I think you're smart enough to figure out the answer."

You sit on the ground trying to figure out what to do. You let out a sigh and get up looking down at the outline of the couch.

"I can't stay here Dabi."

"You going to leave again?"

"If I ever actually had a choice in my life I never would have."

"You have one right now."

His cold words cut through you, yet you could tell he didn't want you to go. You look at the floor wrestling with what you should do.

"If you want to leave then do it."

"I don't know what I want Dabi."

Touya gets up off the couch standing in front of you. His silhouette inches from you as he stands still. Time seems to drag for a moment, before he embraces you in a hug.

"I know things are different now, but please don't give up on me."

You hug him back, burying your face in his chest. He was taller than he use to be, at least he was still growing. You take in his scent which reminded you of a campfire.

"As if I could."

One year later

You stretch out your scrunched-up body and yawn as the early morning rays peak through the slits in the wood-paneled wall of the shack. You groan and roll over on the filthy scratchy blanket and look at the time. It was 7 am, which was way too early for your taste but the blinding light made it impossible for you to fall back asleep. You could hear the bustling of the city as it came to life with the sun. You slowly sit up on the dirt floor and crack your back. You want to go to the fight club today, maybe you can win this time. The pay was way good and you didn't have to worry about your quirk which was a huge plus. You stand up and throw on your outfit before leaving the small tool shed. You sneak into the house and head to the kitchen. You'd staked these people out for two weeks to get their schedule down so you knew they were gone. You like neighborhoods like this because everyone was a creature of habit, and their food was amazing. You grabbed a bagel and some rice from the fridge, making sure to take only enough where they wouldn't notice. You chugged some milk and went to the bathroom to shower. Hopping in and take a quick one, wanting to make sure you didn't get surprised. The warm water ran down your body warming your cold skin. You hop out and brush your hair and teeth then leave the house. You jump over the backyard fence and head to Kaminno ward.

You hop off the train and take the back alley to the club. If you wanted to take it underground one day, you might have the perfect spot too. Maybe you should scout it out and try to come up with a plan. You shrug your shoulders and keep walking. You were looking down fiddling with a knife when you bump into someone. You look up irritatedly and huff out.

"Hey-."

You notice it was Dabi, who was looking rather irritated. You cross my arms speaking sassily to him.

"What are you doing over here?"

"Why do you care?"

"Because I thought the plan was to scout the ward today."

"I've been scouting it, what have you been doing?"

"I'm going to make some money and head down to that subway station."

"Want some company?"

"Sure."

You walk past him still slightly irritated and continue to the station.

You guys get down to the station through a suspicious-looking set of concrete stairs. The inside was wet and smelled of mold. It was almost pitch black. Dabi activates his fire as a light source and walks around. He grabs your shoulder and pulls you back almost into his chest. You blush slightly and feel your heart race for a moment.

"What as that for?"

You huff trying to play it off. He cocks his head at you and points down. You see a huge black hole that would definitely swallow you up if you'd fallen in.

"I knew that was there."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"So you just wanted me to save you?"

You blush and shove his chest before walking away.

"Psh."

You feel his eyes follow you as you walk around exploring. This part of the underground still hadn't been renovated, so no one had a claim on it. If you could move the fight club down here you'd make a ton of money. It seemed like the best idea, however, it would take more manpower than you had. Which of course would mean you'd need to hire people to help. That idea annoyed you, but hey the payoff would be worth it.

"I'm also thinking about building a few shops on the central line. If we managed to build this place up, we could make a lot of money."

"I feel like I'm wasting my time here Aiko."

"We have to start somewhere Dabi. So why not own the underground?"

"It doesn't concern me."

"Then leave, I have my own goals Dabi."

"And what are they?"

You look at dabi tilting your head to the side. A small smile comes over your face as you look into his dull blue eyes.

"To show the heroes that they don't see shit compared to us. That if society is led by the blind, bad things will keep happening."

"What's it matter if the blind will never see it?"

"Why are you running after your father so desperately? Because it's what you want, same with me. I couldn't care what anyone thinks. As long as I do what I want."

He smirks and walks over to you, closing the distance. You back up slightly and notice your back is to a wall. You stop breathing as he closes the space between the two of you. He puts his fingers under your chin and pulls your face up to his. You freeze up not being able to think anymore. You always get so flustered when he gets close like this. He leans in slightly and looks at you with his sassy blue eyes.

"Sure you aren't a villain little mouse?"
