It was either a really good thing or a really bad thing that you had this coat. Giran had it ready for you a week later. He offered other accessories that would help but you declined. The point was to not stand out. It simply looked like a black leather jacket. It would turn white when it wasn't charged with heat which was a nice plus Giran had added. You finally had the ability to find out just how powerful your quirk could be. You decided to wait until tonight so the cover of darkness would shroud your ice.You hurry down the street heading to the basement wanting to show Dabi your new jacket. You hadn't seen him all week since you were busy with the Shadows. It was annoying but you had both agreed that you would live your own lives. You didn't want to get in each other's way since your goals were very different. You catch yourself wondering if maybe one day your paths would walk side by side. You had messaged Dabi earlier and told him you'd meet him at the basement later that night.
Your phone goes off as you walk down the steps. You look at the screen noticing it was Catch. You let out a sigh and answer it.
"What's up?"
"I was wondering if your offer was still available?"
"It will always be available, whenever you want, you have a place among us."
"Aiko?"
"What?"
"If you aren't busy I've got something to show you."
"Not tonight Catch, I have some things to sort out."
"I'll see you later then."
You hang up the phone letting out a soft sigh. I need a vacation. Pff, as if someone like me would ever catch a break. You open the door and step through quietly. You poke your head into the living room and see Dabi sleeping on the couch. You smile softly and walk over quietly. You crouch down brushing his hair out of his face. The white roots were coming back again. You kiss his forehead and head to the bathroom to take a shower.
You hop in the shower and turn the hot water all the way on. You let out a soft sigh as the water warms your cold skin. You make little ice flowers and watch them melt away under the scolding water. You look at the small black flower curiously, an idea came to mind. You snicker and make a large piece of ice right under the water. Frost starts to form all around you as the temperature drops dramatically. The hot water only feeds the corruption of the ice. The water freezes in place after a moment, the black ice crawling up the frozen water until it corrupts it completely. Your skin starts to turn gray as you fall out of the tub nearly freezing.
"Shit."
You lay on the floor, your body slowly stiffening. You fight the cold and shout out for Dabi before the cold takes over causing you to shiver uncontrollably. Dabi opens the door nearly panicking as he sees you on the floor. He rushes over to you, setting you on fire.
"The hell did you do?!"
You slowly come back to reality and look into his angry eyes. His breath starts to form as the ice saps the heat out of the room. You snap your fingers turning into a pile of snow that just overflows onto the ground. Dabi looks back at you dully before setting it on fire. You hear the pipes creak and crack as the ice inside slowly dissipates. It must have traveled all the way to the water heater. The lights flicker and turn off putting the house in complete darkness. Your eyes widen as you realized just how dumb that idea was. Dabi groans irritatedly before dropping you back on the ground.
"I swear if you broke the house, I'm going to be so pissed."
"S-sorry."
You lay there trying to hide your smile from excitement. The lights flicker back on and the shower starts up again. Dabi comes back into the bathroom turns the water off then back on and tests the heat.
"Just so you know, that counts as a rude awakening."
You giggle softly as you sit up smiling at him. He narrows his eyes at you, clearly still annoyed.
"But that was so cool. Did you see how fast it spread? It corrupted the wiring and everything. Could you imagine if I activated my quirk in a hot place? It would turn the whole place into a new Antarctica."
He looks at you dully, unimpressed by your attitude. He sighs and pulls his clothes off taking you back into the tub under the warm water. He runs his fingers through your hair softly as you lay in his lap. You put your forehead on his chest breathing softly.
"When are you going to take your life seriously Aiko?"
You groan and sit up pushing away from him. You sit under the hot water facing away from him.
"Aiko."
Dabi growls softly as he leans closer to you. You ignored him, which irritated him more. He reaches past you and grabs your chain pulling you towards him. You grunt and try to slap his hand away.
"Stop it Dabi."
"You first."
You huff out turning your head away from him. He yanks on your chain pulling you into his chest. He smirks at you and kisses your lips softly. You knew he was being harsh because he was worried. But he doesn't have to be such an ass about it. He treats you like a fragile toy that could break at any moment. Does he forget how resilient you are? Sure you didn't think this through but you aren't stupid. You lookat him glaring, which only causes him to chuckle.
"You're cute when you're mad."
"Shut up."
He nuzzles your neck softly before kissing it. His lips on your skin send chills down your body. You glare at the wall ignoring his attempts to distract you.
"Stop being a brat."
He whispers softly as his hands wander over your body.
"Stop."
He chuckles softly before looking back into your eyes sassily.
"Is that what you really want? Or are you just pouting because you got scolded again?"
You huff out trying to push yourself away from him. He snickers and grabs your wrists and slams you on the bottom of the tub. He smirks as he watches you try to squirm out of his hold.
"Now I really want to have my way with you little mouse."
