***T/W Mention of drugs***
Steru snickers at you softly as you drop your head on the bar top. You huff out in disapproval as you fiddle with the pack of cigarettes. You told yourself you would stop but frankly, everything stresses you out too much to try. You catch yourself jumping out of unsuspecting residents' windows wondering what a mundane life would be like. Wake up and cook breakfast, do laundry and clean the house. Kiss your boyfriend when he gets home from a long day at work. Maybe deep down simple scares you too much. Because in truth you could have it. You have the means to escape this cesspool so easily. Yet you find yourself tiptoeing back to it each and every night, with a sadistic smile stuck on your face. Because if you dig deep enough you know what you'd find. That you love this life, being a bad guy and stirring up trouble in the dark. Even if it's not what's approved, it's your life. As stressful as it is, as much as it runs you ragged, you'd have it no other way. You wonder if Dabi wants this life or if he's just around because it's where you are.
Steru pokes your cheek softly yanking you back to reality. That mischievous grin still plastered on his slender face.
"What?"
Steru chuckles softly as he waves his hand around.
"Nuthin boss, ya just look dead s'all."
You sigh softly before swiping the sake off the bar top, letting the warm liquid flow down your throat.
"I'm just thinking."
"Bout what?"
"I wonder what vacation is like. I mean I don't have to be normal to have one do I?"
"Nah boss, ya serve one more than them normies anyway."
You let your head sink, settling on the cool wooden ledge. Studying the stain-riddled floor waiting for the sake to hit. I won't get drunk tonight I won't get drunk tonight. You silently tell yourself as you pour another cup.
A pair of arms wrap around your sides causing you to stiffen slightly. However, you melt into them as you remind yourself who it is. There isn't a soul in the underground who would dare touch you. For fear of Dabi coming for them, their families, and their entire family tree. His chin finds its place securely on top of your head. His chest pressing into your back as he slightly hunches over you. A small content smile crawls over your face.
"Hey you."
You speak softly as your hand wanders up his arm. He lets out a soft sigh as his body relaxes.
"Hey, baby girl."
His deep raspy voice fills your stomach with butterflies.
"You coming home tonight?"
"I always come home Dobbs."
He leans down pressing his lips to your shoulder lightly.
"Is that what I asked?"
His hot breath washes over your skin as he speaks.
"Yes Dabi, I'm coming home tonight."
He lets a deep growl escape his throat.
"Before or after you're plastered?"
Steru chimes in cutting off your rant.
"Don't worry Dabi, I got it covered. We're just workin out some stuff then I'll send her yer way."
Dabi narrows his eyes at Steru slowly.
"Last I checked she'd stomp you into the ground for giving her orders."
