Part 22

***Dabi: Do I look like I care? (can you see him saying it??) Hehe, he got all protective.***

           You down the next bottle of sake, slamming it on the table shattering it immediately. Sterusu snickers as he forfeits.

"Nah boss I ain't tryna die tunight."

You snicker and cross your arms and puff your chest. You'd finished a job stealing a painting that just paid for the whole crew to go on vacation. So what did you guys do? You went to the bar in the underground and got shit-faced. Mizu, Kage, and Shi were already passed out, Catch went who knows where, and Sterusu and you were having a drinking game. Four bottles in and the room was practically spinning, but you won so that's what really mattered.

"Ya gonna stay here tunight?"

"Yeah, not like I can get back."

"Though Dabi was gonna show?"

"Eh, he's got his own shit to do."

You lay your head down hiccuping aggressively as you try to hold back from puking. Sterusu stumbles to his feet and walks away. You furrowed your brow annoyed that Dabi didn't show up. He got distant after the Hero Killer Stain was caught. You worried he was cheating on you, but of course, you didn't really have any proof. You yell loudly trying to shut your head up. You stand up quickly causing your stomach to act up. You lean over puking all over the floor. At the same time, Catch comes back. He chuckles softly before walking over and pulling you up into his arms.

"Come on boss you need some sleep, you're a damn mess."

"Don't tell me what tu do."

You wrestle out of Catch's arms and fall to the ground. You laugh loudly, amused with yourself. You sit up reaching for another bottle of sake. Catch swipes it out of your reach stepping away.

"Come on boss that's enough for now. You can't even stand."

"Don't tell me what to do!"

Catch sighs softly and rubs the sides of his temple with his fingers.

"How the hell does he deal with you?"

"Whad ya say!"

"Boss you need to calm down alright?"

Your face droops as you cross your arms and flop on the ground. You look up at Catch irritatedly.

"If I'm the boss why don't you listen to me?"

"I'm just trying to help you."

You whine softly rolling on your back and watching the ceiling spin. You cross your arms and huff out. You mutter to yourself trying to stay quiet but in reality, you literally yelled.

"I want Dabi."

Catch chuckles softly as he sits down.

"Me too, I'm tired of dealing with your crazy ass."

"Shut it!"

"Yes ma'am."

Sterusus comes back and tries to help you up into the booth. You giggle as you make it as difficult as possible for him to pick you up. Sterusu laughs as he stumbles trying to get you up.

          Dabi walks down the red-lit tunnel headed to the bar. He was irritated because the person he met kept him longer than he wanted. However, this guy seems to be a good option to get what he wanted. He slinks down the tunnel picking his head up as he hears Aiko's voice saying she wanted him. He shoves his hands in his pockets as he shakes his head. Yeah, she's knee-deep in sake and pissing everyone off.

You finally get tired and stop fighting Sterusu as he pulls you up. You smirk at him as he smiles back.

"Hey Aiko, guess what?"

"Huh?"

He nods toward the door with a smirk on his face. You turn around wobbling on your feet and fall back on the ground. You notice Dabi walking into the bar, causing you to smile.

"Dabi."

You slur as you try and fail to get up. He looks over his shoulder at you, a small smirk on his face. You pout as he sits at the bar instead of coming over to you.

"Dabi!"

He chuckles as he takes a drink from the bottle Catch offered him.

"She's your problem now."

Catch tells Dabi as he walks away waving goodbye to everyone. You wave back aggressively as you stay planted on the floor. Sterusu falls down in the booth laughing hysterically. You smile and drag yourself to your feet using the table as support.

"Hey, Steru?"

"Huh?"

"We, we should, we should tackle Catch."

Sterusu picks his head up smiling and laughing.

"Nah boss, like I said I ain't tryna die."

"Bitch."

You stumble across the bar and tackle Catch as he leaves. He grunts as you both fall out of the door onto the tracks. You bust up laughing and rolling around.

"I'm still your problem Catch."

He laughs as he leans back on his hands.

"God, you're a menace."

You laugh as you sit up smiling at him. Dabi comes out of the bar narrowing his eyes at Catch. Catch shrinks slightly under Dabi's gaze and gets to his feet.

"She started it."

"Do I look like I care?"

Catch shrugs and walks off getting the hell out of dodge before Dabi tries anything.

You look up at Dabi smiling before trying to get to your feet. Dabi takes your hand pulling you up.

"Having a good time doll?"

You smile at him and fall into his chest holding his shirt.

"Yeah."

Dabi chuckles softly as he helps you back into the bar. He sits you down at the bar and hands you a cup of sake. You take it and clank it with his before downing the sweet liquid. Dabi reaches out taking your hand.

"Want to dance?"

You blink at him confused by his question.

"Eh? Ya hate dancin'."

He pulls you to your feet and walks you into the middle of the floor. He holds your hand and puts his other on your waist. He supports your weight helping you stand as he starts dancing with you. You giggle as you stumble trying to keep up with him. You look up into Dabi's eyes smiling.

"I love you."

His eyes widen slightly as he feels his heart start to race. You'd never told him directly that you loved him before. He narrows his eyes at you imminently knowing it was because something was on your mind. He gets more irritated with you, knowing you didn't say it just because you wanted to. He stops dancing with you and kisses you softly. Even though he knew there was something on your mind, he didn't want to ruin your mood. It had been a while since you'd smiled so freely, even if it was because you were drunk.

"Come on baby, let's go."

***Ugh, this story reminds me of my novel, and not in a good way (facepalm). There's so much time I have to cover that I just gave up and started jumping around in the timeline.***
