Chapter 51: Bonding Time

On a beautiful day in Catalonia, today marks the 3 year anniversary of Chris and Porsha's wedding. "Babe! Guess what day it is?" said Porsha. "I know what day it is...it's our wedding anniversary!" said Chris as the two kissed. "And I already made plans for where we are gonna go." said Chris. "We should probably tell Luna." said Porsha as they both nodded. "Luna!" said both as she came in. "Yeah, Mommy and Daddy?" said Luna. "We have a surprise for you. Today is me and your father's 3 year wedding anniversary." said Porsha. "What's that?" asked Luna. "It's a very special day for Mommy and I. Where me and her celebrate our love for each other." said Chris. "So what about the surprise?" asked Luna. "Well, your mother and I are going to a place where me and her can spend time together. Our friends are a bit busy to take care of you so, you'll be spending a couple of days with your grandparents." said Porsha as Luna gasped. "Really?" she said in excitement. "Mhm. Plus you hadn't spent much time with them, so we think it's fair you do that for the night." said Chris as Luna smiled. So it was settled. Porsha called her parents to let them know ahead of time and soon began packing. 30 minutes later, they arrived. "Chris! Porsha! Welcome." said Claudia as they hugged. "Hi, Grandma!" said Luna as she hugged her. "Hi, munchkin! I'm so glad you can spend time with us." said Claudia as she kissed her nose. "Where's Dad?" asked Porsha. "Oh! He's actually making you guys a anniversary gift! Jimmy!" said Claudia. "Coming!" he said as he sprinted inside with a container full of cookies. "Are those cookies?" asked Chris. "Mhm! Since it's your anniversary, I thought about whipping up a sweet treat. Consider this as a anniversary gift." said Jimmy as he handed them the container. "Wow, Daddy, these look great!" said Porsha. "Here Luna! Try one." said Jimmy as she took a bite from it. "Mmm! This is yummy! How do you make these?" asked Luna. "A simple but amazing recipe. I can teach ya if you like." said Jimmy. "Yeah!" said Luna as she grabbed his hand and sprinted to the kitchen. Chris and Porsha smiled. "Seems you guys are gonna get along just well." said Chris. "Well, we better get going. We have a big day to enjoy!" said Porsha as the two left. "Bye, sweetie! Have fun!" said Chris as Luna waved. "Come Luna. Let's show you the room you'll be sleeping in." said Claudia as they lead her to the guest room. "It may not be much but we tried to make it look entertaining for you as much as possible." said Jimmy as he placed her bags down. "Make yourself at home, sweetie. We'll be making dinner soon." said Claudia as she turned the T.V on for her. The two then leaves the room. "This is great, honey! We get to spend some time with our granddaughter." said Claudia. But as she turns to him, she notices him watching Luna through the door. "Honey? Is everything okay?" asked Claudia as she held his arm. "It's just...seeing Luna...reminds me of Porsha when she was little. I was such a mess when you left, I didn't even watch her grow up. Then I owned a business, gave her money and still paid no attention to her." said Jimmy. Claudia then held his shoulders. "Well...if you wanna make it up to her...spend time with our granddaughter." said Claudia as Jimmy smiled. He then heads into a storage room and grabs a box full of items. He then heads to the guest room and knocks on the door. "Luna, sweetie?" said Jimmy. "Yes, Grandpa?" she replied. "I have some stuff for you. You wanna see them?" asked Jimmy. "Sure!" said Luna as the two look in the box. "What is all this?" asked Luna as she sees toys and fun items. "These...were the things your mother used to play back when she was your age." said Jimmy as he handed her a toy of a stuffed animal. They then sees a picture of Porsha with the stuffed animal. *Flashback* "Daddy!" said a 5 year old Porsha as she hugs her father tightly. "Hi, angel!" said Jimmy as he kissed her nose. "You wanna play with me?" asked Porsha. "Let's play." said Jimmy as he held Porsha in the air and takes her to the park. They played peek-a-boo, played tag and eventually have ice cream. The two then sat on the grass watching the sunset. "I love you, Daddy." said Porsha. "I love you too, angel." said Jimmy as he kissed her forehead. *Flashback End* Jimmy smiles as he looks at Luna. "You wanna go to the park, sweetie?" asked Jimmy as Luna smiled and nodded. Jimmy picks up and Luna as they went to the car and drove to the park, where the two have fun. "Grandpa! Do you wanna play tag?" asked Luna. "Sure, but don't expect me to be slow!" said Jimmy as he stood. "Tag! Your it!" said Luna as she ran. Jimmy chuckled as he chased after her. Luna giggled as she ran. "Wow...she's pretty fast." said Jimmy as he slowly panted. Then, his ears suddenly perked up when he heard Luna scream in pain. When he looked up, he sees her on the ground, holding her knee. "Luna!" said Jimmy as he tends to her. "Are you okay, sweetie?" he asked. Luna sniffled and shed tears before shaking her head. "Let me see." said Jimmy as he sees a bad cut on her knee. "Oh no. Come on, let's head back." said Jimmy as he carefully picks her up and they would return home. "Claudia! Get the first aid!" said Jimmy as he takes Luna to the bathroom. "Your gonna be okay, sweetie. Alright?" said Jimmy as Luna nods. Then, Claudia came in. "What happened?" she asked. "Luna tripped and hurt her knee." said Jimmy. "Oh dear. Don't worry, sweetie. We'll patch it up." said Claudia as she held her granddaughter's hand. Jimmy would then grab a cloth and puts it in warm water before squeezing it tight. "Okay Luna, I'm gonna gently place this on your knee so that way it won't get an infection, okay? This might sting a bit." said Jimmy as he carefully placed it on the wound. "Ow! Ow! It hurts!" said Luna as Jimmy quickly pulled it back. Claudia then holds her shoulder. "Luna...look at me." she said as she looks at her. "Breathe in. Breathe out." said Claudia as Luna slowly breathes. Jimmy would once again place the cloth on Luna's wound and this time, she didn't flinch. After a few minutes, Jimmy would then place the bandage on her knee. "There we go. All better." said Jimmy as Luna smiles and hugs both her grandparents. "Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma." she said. "Your welcome, sweetie." said Jimmy as they both kissed her on the cheek. "How about we get you some ice cream?" said Claudia as Luna smiled. An hour later, the 3 were in the living room watching movies together. "Did you have fun, Luna?" asked Jimmy. "Yeah. It was a crazy day." said Luna as Jimmy and Claudia chuckled. Luna then lets out a yawn. "Looks like your getting sleepy." said Claudia as Luna's eyes were droopy. "Don't worry. I'll take her to bed." said Jimmy as he carries Luna back to the guest room. "Thanks again for today, Grandpa. Sorry we didn't do much." said Luna. "Oh don't worry about it, sweetie. All that matters is that we had fun and spent quality time together." said Jimmy as he brushed her forehead. "Goodnight, Grandpa." said Luna as she fell asleep. Jimmy smiled as he kissed her forehead. "Goodnight...angel." he said as he stood and left her room, where Claudia waits for him. "How'd I do?" asked Jimmy. "You did great today, honey. Now are you feeling zero stress?" asked Claudia as Jimmy chuckled. "Yes, Claudia. Let's get some sleep." he said as the couple went to bed. As time went by, Jimmy and Claudia continued to bond with their granddaughter and Jimmy was relieved of the stress that was bothering him ever since his release from prison. *A week later* Luna got her things packed and ready as Chris and Porsha were arriving to pick her up. "Here Luna. All of Porsha's old things, it's yours now." said Jimmy as Luna smiled. Then, Chris and Porsha arrived. "Hey Luna!" said both. "Hi, Mommy! Hi, Daddy!" said Luna as she hugs her parents. "So how'd your guys anniversary went?" asked Claudia. "It was actually really enjoyable. We went to a hotel, had an amazing dinner and done so much activities." said Porsha. "So how was Luna?" asked Chris. "She was fun and every energetic. A little while later after you guys left, we showed Luna her room and later on I showed her some of your old things. I thought about giving it to her." said Crystal as Porsha smiled. "That's really sweet of you, Daddy." she said. "He wanted to redeem himself after what has happened in the past. Afterwards, they went to the park and played a little tag. Luna did trip and hurt her knee a bit but thanks to your father...she's better." said Claudia as Chris and Porsha smiled at Jimmy. "Thank you guys so much for watching Luna for us." said Chris. "That's what family does." said Jimmy. Soon, Chris, Porsha and Luna would soon head back home as Jimmy and Claudia watch from the distance. "Do you think they'll tell Luna the other surprise?" asked Claudia as Jimmy smiled. "I'm sure they will." he said. Chris, Porsha and Luna returned home as Luna puts her box in her room. "Should we tell her?" asked Chris as Porsha nodded. The two went to her room as they see her playing with toys. "Luna? Can we talk to you for a second?" asked Porsha. Luna turns to them. "What is it?" she asked. "A couple of days ago, Mommy felt a bit sick and...we have another surprise for you." said Chris. Luna was interested. "There is a baby in my tummy right now." said Porsha as Luna gasped. "Really?" she said. They both nodded. "Your gonna be a big sister." said Chris as Luna sheds tears and hugs her parents tightly.
