In a beautiful afternoon at Catalonia, Leo and his team was preparing to compete in a qualifier match for the school state tournament. He and his friends Mark, Alex and John were gearing up. "Well guys...we made it. Started our season strong and now made it to the qualifiers." said Leo. "You said it, Leo. You were doing great the whole season. Basically, the MVP of this team." pointed out Mark. Leo chuckled. "Well, I didn't do this alone. It's not just me. It's y'all." he said as they smiled. Soon, their coach enters. "Well team, we did it. We got through the season. Now we just got to focus on this game and we'll be in the tournament. This is where the real work starts. Bring it in!" said Coach as everyone put their hands together. "1, 2, 3, TEAM!!" said all as they ran to the field as the crowd cheers. Leo looks to the stands as he sees his family cheering him on. "Let's go, Leo!" said Chris as he whistled. "Go, Leo!" said Porsha as she held up a banner that said 'Leo #10'. Finally, he sees her older sister, Luna and her boyfriend, Jared. They were both clapping and cheering him on. Then after a 5 minute warm up, it was game time. The team was going against Redshore City's soccer team. They are the best team in their division and second best in the conference, so it would prove to be a tough matchup with their best player, a cheetah named Davis, who's great skills come into defense. The ball was then kicked as the game began. Both teams held their ground as the defense came into play. 45 minutes in and neither team has yet to score. After the break, Leo felt a spark in him as he dribbled the ball towards the goal. "Come on, Leo." said Chris. He came to Davis, who was ready for him. Leo then jukes with the ball causing Davis to fall to the ground and Leo kicks it in, making the first goal of the game. Leo celebrates his goal as he looks at Davis, who looks at him with a small glare. 5 minutes later, Leo and the team played great defense as once again Leo has the ball and makes his way down to the goal, hoping to extend their lead two. But suddenly, Davis runs into him hard at fast speed as Leo falls on the ground, holding his chest in pain and slowly shed tears. Chris, Porsha, Luna and Jared stare in shock. Everyone was in shock as Mark confronts Davis and shoves him into the ground with a glare on his face. "What's the matter with you?! Are you trying to hurt him?!" exclaimed Mark as Alex, John and referees held him back as the crowd was in disbelief. Then, Coach ran onto the field, who was irate and faced the other sideline. "Are you kidding me?! Is this how you coach your players?!" he exclaimed as they were silent. Not knowing what to say after Davis's action. The ref then approaches Davis and pulls out the red card, ejecting him from the game. "Leo!" yelled Porsha in worry as she and the others ran into the field as paramedics tended to him. "Is he okay??" asked Chris. "Leo? Can you breathe?" asked a medic as he struggled to breathe normally and was shedding tears. "I...can't..breathe." he said as he coughed heavily. "Get the stretcher." said another medic as they came and carefully placed Leo on the stretcher. Porsha then approaches him. "Mom...I'm scared." said Leo as he still struggled to breathe. "Leo, baby, it's okay. We'll be right behind you, okay? Just stay calm, be brave and try to breathe." said Porsha as she was shedding tears and held his hand before the paramedics took Leo to the hospital. Eventually the officials would end the game, thus giving Catalonia the win. 15 minutes later at the Catalonia hospital, Chris and Porsha were in the waiting room as Luna was outside, crying her eyes out after witnessing what happened to her little brother as Jared came and comforted her. "How could he do that to him? Oh Leo." said Luna as Jared hugs her tightly. "It's okay. It's okay." said Jared as he sighed deeply. A little while later, the doctor came and approached Chris and Porsha. "How is he?" asked Chris. "He's gonna be okay. We have him sedated and he'll out for a hour." said the doctor as the couple sighed in relief. "So is he gonna be 100% by tomorrow?" asked Porsha. "Well...that's the bad news. We did X-Ray scans and found that a few pieces of his ribs was cracked after the impact. But not to worry, it won't require surgery, he'll just have to rest for a while." said the doctor. "C-Can we see him?" asked Porsha. "Of course. Follow me." said the doctor. "You go ahead. I'll get Luna and Jared and meet you there." said Chris as Porsha nodded. "Here you are, ma'am." said the doctor. Porsha took a deep breath and entered the room, where she sees her son sleeping with a breathing tube. "Look at you. Sleeping like a baby. Just like when you were born." said Porsha as she smiled. She then sat on the chair and held his hand. Then, Chris along with Luna and Jared enter as they sat in chairs. Chris then hugs Porsha. "You okay, babe?" he asked as she sighed. "I'm fine. It's just...it's hard seeing our baby boy like this." said Porsha. "Well...Leo's strong, like you and me. We raised him well have we?" asked Chris as Porsha slightly chuckled. "Mom? Dad? What are we gonna do about that jerk Davis?" asked Luna as the couple sighed deeply. Then, Chris heard his phone buzz as he answered it. "Hello?" he said as everyone looks at him. "Okay. Thank you for letting us know. Bye." said Chris as he hung up. "Who was it?" asked Porsha. "It was the school. They told me that the league has suspended Davis from the tournament until further notice." said Chris. "Well it serves him right. What he did was totally uncalled for." said Luna as she and Jared sat on the other side of Leo's bed. Then the room was filled with silence, hoping for Leo to wake up.
