The next morning, the family was sleeping after spending the night at the hospital, in case Leo wakes up. Porsha slowly wakes up and sees everyone else still asleep. She then looks at Leo and gently held his hand. She then heard a deep inhale as her ears perked up. She looks and sees Leo finally awake. "Leo!" she said as she gently hugs him. As they seperate, Leo sees his mother in tears. "Mom. Are you okay?" he asked. "I'm...I'm fine, sweetie. I'm just happy." said Porsha. Chris and Luna then wake up and see Leo awake. "Leo!" said Luna happily as she hugs her little brother. Chris sheds tears as he hugs him tightly. "How are you feeling, buddy?" asked Chris. "I feel okay, Dad. What about the game? Did we win?" asked Leo. "Yeah. Y'all sure did." said Luna as she held his hand. "What happened back there?" asked Leo. "Well...after you went down, Davis, he got ejected from the game and the league decided to suspend him from the tournament until further notice." explained Chris. "Oh. Well...how long will I be here?" asked Leo. "Well...the doctor said you have a few ribs cracked, so he said you'll probably out for 2 to 4 weeks." said Porsha. Leo's ears perked up. "4 weeks?! But the last two qualifiers are this weekend and next weekend!" he said. "I'm sorry Leo but for your safety and your health, you need to rest. It won't be a while, I promise." said Porsha as Leo sighed and looked down. "Hey...don't feel bad, Leo. Your teammates and coach sent you some cards, earlier today." said Chris as he points to a table next to him. Leo looks and sees the pile of cards on the table as he weakly chuckles. Over the week, Leo was recovering from his injury, he eventually received a photo from his team. As he opened the envelope, he sees a picture of his team all wearing the #10 jersey he wears. He sees a message that said 'We love you, Leo! Hope you get better soon!' Leo slowly sheds tears as he chuckles. He then sees a CD on the back. He puts it in the DVD player and as it played, he sees his best friends, Mark, Alex and John. "Hey Leo!" said all. "We hope you are feeling okay." said Alex. "We just got word that you'll be out for 2 weeks, which is a bummer. But don't worry. We got your back and we are going to do out best to win the qualifiers." said Mark. "Yup and hopefully, you'll be back on your feet by the time the tournament starts and we can kick butt on the field again." said John. "We love you, Leo!" said all as the film ends. Leo sheds more tears after receiving love from his team and his best friends. "I love y'all too." he said. He hears a knock on his door. "Come in!" said Leo as he sees his father enter. "Hey buddy!" said Chris. "Dad, hey." said Leo. "How are you feeling?" asked Chris. "I'm doing well. Just looked at the cards." Leo replied. "Hmm. I thought I come by and have a talk with you." said Chris as he sat down on a chair. "I'm not gonna lie. I was terrified when I saw you took that hit in the chest. It...It gave flashbacks of what happened to me. I told your sister this but I haven't told you because I didn't want to scare you." he said. "What happened?" asked Leo. "When I was around your age...I didn't know this until a year after your sister was born. I was born with a congenital heart defect." said Chris. "What's that?" asked Leo in worry. "It's a heart disease, where the blood doesn't flow in the body properly. Basically you feel tired almost 24/7." explained Chris. "Do you still have it now?" asked Leo. Chris shook his head. "No. This is where things took a surprise. When I was 18, I was real tired one day and I passed out. Your late grandmother got into a car accident and...to keep me alive, she asked the doctor to give me her heart." said Chris as Leo was in shock. "Seriously?" he said. Chris nodded as he shows him his scar on his chest. "This scar right here, is what happened when I took the surgery. At first, I thought I never had surgery but this was my first one and my foot was the second." said Chris. "Wow. You've been through a lot." said Leo. "But the bottom line is Leo, is that your okay and breathing. That's all that matters to me because your my son. I love you." said Chris as he held his shoulder. "I love you too, Dad." said Leo as they hugged. The next day after Chris's visit, Luna, Sunny and Scarlet came to visit. "Hey Leo!" said all. "Oh, hey guys! What's with the decorations?" asked Leo. "Making you feel comfy here." said Luna. "But guys, I'm gonna be here for only 2 weeks." said Leo. "Exactly." said Sunny as Leo chuckled. "How you feeling?" asked Scarlet. "I feel good. Just waiting these two weeks out." said Leo. "Oh. We forgot snacks. Sunny, Scarlet, can you guys get some? I'll finish up here." said Luna. "Okay." said Sunny as the two left, leaving Luna with her little brother. "You feeling okay?" asked Leo. "I should say the same to you." said Luna. "It's just...when I saw you as I woke up...I never seen you like that before. I was worried." said Leo as Luna slowly frowned. "I'm sorry you had to see me like that. It's just...I've never thought I would see you get hurt. When you went down...I felt sad, horrified...and angry after what Davis did. I wanted to confront him but Mark beat me to it." said Luna as Leo slightly chuckled. Luna looks at her brother and held his hand. "Even though you are an annoying brat...your still my little brother. I love you." said Luna as Leo smiled. "I love you too, Luna." he replied as they both smiled. Eventually, Sunny and Scarlet came back and spent time with them. Finally on later on the night, Leo is visited by his mother, Porsha. "Hey, Mom!" said Leo. "Hey, sweetie! How's my baby boy?" asked Porsha with a bright smile. "I'm doing fine, Mom. Thanks for asking." said Leo. "I brought you some of my dinner from last night. Thought you might be hungry." said Porsha as she brought out containers. Leo notice a nervous look on his mother's face. "Mom? Are you okay?" he asked. Porsha sighed deeply and rubbed her face. "I'm sorry, sweetie. It's just...I'm just not used to seeing one of my babies in a hospital bed. When me and your father talked about letting you play sports, I was a bit scared when you said you wanted to play soccer. My first thought was no. But, of course, your father found a way to convince me to let you play." said Porsha as Leo slightly chuckled. "And this is the main reason why I DIDN'T want you to play soccer." said Porsha pointing to him in the bed. "Mom, I'll be honest. This is like...probably my first big injury on the field. I mean sure, I fell on the turf and stuff but none of them were like bad." said Leo. "I'm sorry, Leo. I don't want to admit I'm overprotective but I think I am. Ever since I let you play." said Porsha. Leo then held her hand. "Mom...it's fine. Even though I'm growing up...I'm still your little baby boy." said Leo as he slightly blushed. "Aww." said Porsha as she gently hugged his head and kissed his forehead. "I always knew you were a sweet boy." said Porsha but as she faces Leo. He was asleep. Porsha chuckles as she gently laid in bed beside him. She would soon fall asleep as the moon shines through the window.
