Chapter 56: Questions & Answers

The next morning, Luna wakes up and sees herself with her clothes off. She looks outside the window and sees the sunlight beaming through the window. She then turns to see Jared sleeping and also with his clothes off. He then wakes up. "Morning." said Jared. "Morning." Luna replied as they held hands. "I guess the heat kicked in, huh?" said Jared as Luna chuckled. "Your so silly." she said as they shared a kiss. Luna then hears her phone buzz. She picks it up and sees a text from Chris. "Hey, I'm here." he said. Luna gasped. "Oh my dad's here! Better get ready." she said as the two got up from bed and got dressed. Luna then heads to the lobby as she kissed Jared before leaving. "Bye Jared! Love you!" said Luna. "Love you too, Luna." he replied as Luna hops in the car. "Hi, Daddy!" she said. "Hi, munchkin! You confessed to Jared did you?" asked Chris as Luna blushed. "How'd you know?" she asked. "Come on. I saw you two in the lobby, hugging and kissing. You slept with him too." said Chris as he smiled. "How do you know all that?" asked Luna. "Don't tell your brother this but...when I met your mom at Redshore City, I went to her house after we went on our second date. It was late and I was too tired to drive back to the hotel I was staying in, so she said I could spend the night at hers. At first I was nervous, because your mother mentioned to me she likes to sleep in bed with her clothes off because it felt comfortable, so I told her I didn't mind cause I sleep in my boxers. From that moment, she told me she felt cozy and warm in my arms and gave me a kiss on the cheek." said Chris. "So...you two dated after that night?" asked Luna. "Well...technically no." said Chris. "Oh." said Luna. "The next day, we were at the studio doing final rehearsals...but your mother's acting wasn't as good as Buster thought. So he asked her if she would want to switch roles. But she thought he was firing her and ran off. I tried to explain to her but...she scratched me on the face." said Chris as Luna gasped. "Daddy, were you okay?" she asked in worry. "Yeah I was fine. She scratched me on my eye here. But I was okay. Before we started the show, I convinced your mother to join us in the show. She at first thought I would hate her and press charges on her. But I couldn't help but laugh at that. At first, when people heard what she did to me, the media made it seem that I would take action to it. But I ignored them and after we performed, then we confessed our feelings." said Chris. "Interesting. Daddy, quick question. I've been thinking about this...since I met Grandpa. Why was he in prison?" asked Luna as Chris froze. "Wait until we get home." he said as they drove back. As they returned, Chris went to speak with Porsha. "Babe...I need to talk to you." he said as he sat on the bed. "What is it?" asked Porsha as she held his hand. "Luna...wanted to know why your dad was in prison, when she met him." said Chris as Porsha was a bit surprised. "Oh. Did you tell her?" she asked. "Well, I wanted to tell you that. Because I'm afraid how she will react if I did tell her." said Chris as Porsha hugged him. "We'll tell her together. Okay?" said Porsha as Chris nodded. "Okay, Luna! You can come in." he said as Luna enters and sat on the bed. "So...your father wanted to know why your grandfather was in prison when you met him?" asked Porsha as Luna nodded. "Okay. But if you heard too much, you can tell me to stop, okay?" said Chris as Luna held his hand. "Daddy, it's fine. Besides, you told me yourself, it's better to be tell the truth." she said as Chris chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Your right. Okay...so there's more to the story that I haven't told you. How we got into Redshore City, Buster really wanted to reach his dreams by performing at the Crystal Tower Theater and your grandfather was the owner of that business." said Chris as Luna was a little bit surprised. "And when we auditioned for his show, he wasn't satisfied and was about to give us the boot until Gunter pitched in the idea of bringing Clay Calloway to the show. And when your grandfather heard that, he was interested and Buster...well he said that he 'knows' Clay Calloway. So we were selected and over the course of two days, he eventually found out that Buster lied to him about knowing Calloway. He was furious but nonetheless, he let us continued doing the show as long as he doesn't humiliate him." said Chris. "Then the next day, I accidentally scratched your father in the face, the media said that I was fired by Buster. My dad was furious and blamed me for the cause of it." said Porsha as she struggled to not remember that moment. Luna was speechless. "When he called Buster to his office, he was trying to kill Buster by throwing him off the balcony. But luckily, he was saved at the last second when his assistant Jerry mentioned he had interview to do. So instead, he locked him in the closet and leaves him until Suki came and freed him. Buster then warns us about what happened as we got back to the hotel. Then, we heard your grandfather's interview and insults Buster and us. When I was mentioned to him, he said I wasn't worth watching and said insults towards your late grandmother. I was furious what he said about her. Then, after Buster decided to put on the show, I called Suki and asked her if your mother was alright. She told me what happened back in your grandfather's office and what he said to her. I didn't want Porsha to live under the stress, she had to deal with and I love your mother when I first met her and I chose to be with her for the rest of my life." said Chris as he held Porsha's hand. "Your father then came all the way to my home and he wanted me to come join them on their show and I accepted." said Porsha. "But I'll cut to the chase. I don't want to hold up your time." said Chris. "Daddy...it's fine. I just want to know what happened. Please, continue." said Luna as she held his hand once more and this time she didn't let go. "Okay. After Johnny performed his number, your grandfather came to put an end to the show. But Johnny's father and his two uncles came to prevent that. While your mother was performing her number, your grandfather snuck in and tried to take your mother out the show. But your mother refused and stood up to him. Then he tried to get her out by force but I came in and knocked him into a cage under the stage, making sure he doesn't disturb the show. After your mother performed, somehow your grandfather escaped the cage. During Rosita's number, he ran and grabbed me by the throat and took me to a lift. In one last attempt to stop the show, your grandfather tried to kill me by throwing me off the ledge." said Chris as Luna was in shock. Her grandfather tried killing her father. "But Rosita prevented that and saved his life." said Porsha as Luna was speechless. "After the show, officers came and arrested your grandfather." said Chris. "Before, he was taken away, I was angry after what he did to your father. So I approached him and...I slapped him. I said that I would never forgive him for what he did and what he said to me." said Porsha. "But when he was taken away, I noticed a change when I looked into his eyes. He mouthed the words, take care of her. He would realize his mistake and knew it was already too late to change that. But he knew that I would take care of her, thinking he failed to do so. So that's why your grandfather was in prison." said Chris as Luna was filled with many thoughts. "But Luna, you must promise not to mention this to your grandfather. He was filled with stress ever since that day but he's fine now." said Porsha. "Well...thank you for telling me. Even though Grandpa did bad things, I still love him." said Luna as the three gathered in a hug. "So...your father told me you slept with Jared." said Porsha as Luna glared at Chris. "Dad." she said. "Hey, I can't keep secrets from your mother. 15 years of marriage and no secrets kept." said Chris as Luna groaned. "Anyway, me and Jared did sleep together. But nothing else happened." she said. "Well, 3 years into our relationship, your father and I did nothing but sharing our love for each other." said Porsha as she picks up a picture. "Then over 8 months, a little baby is growing in my belly and was soon born. 2 years later, another baby comes into the mix and now it's a family of four." said Porsha as they hugged tightly. "Bottom line, I'm happy to see you confessed to Jared." said Porsha. "Thanks, Mom." said Luna.
