The gentle hum of activity filled the air as Cole Young walked down the corridors of the Fifth Division's R&D Department. His black hair swayed softly, framing his beautifully kept face, adding an air of sophistication to his demeanor. Dark blue eyes, reminiscent of sapphires, sparkled with a mix of determination and introspection as he deftly swiped through the tablet in his hands, assessing project updates and scanning for any pressing notifications.

Each screen illuminated his features, highlighting his youthful charm, but behind that exterior was a mind running a mile a minute—concerned. As he left the R&D Department, the sounds of machinery and tinkering faded behind him, replaced by the quiet serenity that permeated the HQ's main square.

The brilliant sunlight cast dappled patterns through the branches above as he made his way to the courtyard, a sanctuary known for its tranquil ambiance. The courtyard was a haven for meditation and reflection, a place where many found solace amidst the chaos of their duties. Cole sought that solace, yearning to escape for a moment, if only to center himself.

He spotted his favorite tree, its boughs spreading wide like welcoming arms. Finding a suitable spot beneath it, he settled down against the sturdy trunk, allowing himself to relax in the comforting shade. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath, letting the calm wash over him, yet his thoughts were far from peaceful.

"Dante... I-I hope you're okay..." he thought, a quiet worry gnawing at his heart. Cole and Dante had quickly forged a strong bond, one that had blossomed with surprising ease since their first meeting before the Entrance Exams nearly half a year ago. Despite his timid and reserved nature, Cole felt an inexplicable connection to Dante—the kind of friendship built on mutual respect and understanding.

He retrieved a small parcel from his woven bag, unwrapping it with care to reveal a letter addressed to him in a familiar, elegant script. It was from his sister, Katsumi Young, and the sight of her handwriting sent a wave of warmth through him.

"Dear Coco," the letter began, and he read carefully, savoring each word as though it were a cherished treasure.

"It's me. I'm not used to having a scribe write for me. It's weird...but I hear your new job is covering this stuff. I'm proud of you. I wish I could have been there at the Exam to see you pass. Take care of yourself, okay? Mom and Dad tell me you haven't come by the shack in a while. They miss you... I miss you too. Don't overdo it. Hopefully, when I'm walking again, I'll come see you! My lungs are better, and this treatment is helping quite a bit now. I can actually eat something not through a tube. Finally... well, just remember we're here for you, Coco. Don't forget it. Sincerely, best sister ever."
