"So, where are you from?" Yana asked Beomgyu as she leaned against her hand, holding her wine glass in the other."I'm from he-"
"Heaton." Luna interrupted for him before the prince could say he was from the town.
Everyone knows each other in the village.
Absolutely everyone.
There is not one person who was not known to their neighbors and their neighbors' neighbors and THEIR neighbors' neighbors.
It would immediately be detected that Beomgyu is technically not a local.
"Yeah." Beomgyu added as he looked at Luna for a second in seamless confirmation.
"Oh." Yana raised her eyebrows in interest. "Heaton. When did you come here?"
"Bonfire."
They both said at the same time.
Luna looked at Beomgyu and awkwardly chuckled.
"It was bonfire night." She confirmed as she took a nervous sip of her drink.
She was already feeling a little tipsy from the pure whiskey she was drinking.
Beomgyu looked at her for a couple of seconds before taking the drink from her hand and taking a fake sip before keeping it in his hand, away from her.
Luna rolled her eyes as she saw his attempts at having her not get drunk tonight.
He was a smart guy.
From the story she told of her father, he was quick to catch on.
It's her father's birthday.
Yana stared at them for a second, noticing the comfort of drinking from the same cup.
"So, are you like distant cousins or something?"
"Yes."
"No." Beomgyu said, almost horrified as he shook his head, making Luna look at him. "We thought we were because of some mutual people we knew but, no."
"Then, what are you?"
"She's my girlfriend." Beomgyu smirked making Luna look at him wide-eyed. "I'm just kidding, don't get all surprised like that, beautiful Luna." He said in amusement as he looked at her.
"Yeah, we're.... not together, at all." Luna shook her head as Yana looked between the two in slight surprise.
"She just doesn't want to."
"Gyu."
"What?" He chuckled as he took a sip from the whiskey.
Luna rolled her eyes, as the one that seemed to be getting tipsy was him.
That was not her plan.
She reached for the glass in his hand, but he only held it, while tilting his head at her.
"No. You're not drinking more, Luna. I don't want you to drink too much, it's bad for you." Beomgyu actually sounded sober as he said this, making Luna question if all the flirting was done out of alcohol or plain wants.
"Says the one that's gotten drunk two nights straight."
"That doesn't count."
Luna chuckled in amusement as he gave her a cheeky smile.
"Well, you guys seem close." Yana faked a smile as she looked between them.
"Oh, I promise we're not that close." Luna says quickly making Beomgyu look at her, offended.
