The castle gates opened for the carriage which contained the prince and the guard that first picked him up.They were attending an event together outside of the castle which was a first for his mother to trust him that much in the last couple of days.
Beomgyu guessed it was because of how necessary it was to meet with Lady Elle's family for the first time after their engagement announcement.
His gaze was curiously looking outside as he watched the streets he had so freely walked on less than two months ago.
His eyes searched, hoping to spot Luna for at least a second.
The longing in his heart had never gone away, but now that he was back in the village it seemed to hurt worse.
His eyes found the familiar sign.
"Luna's Earth." He whispered to himself as the carriage approached.
The guard heard his whisper and looked at where he was looking.
Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch the royal pass by as they tried to see who were the people inside.
As they were getting closer to the bar, Beomgyu felt his heart race even more as he anticipated seeing her.
But the only thing he saw was the open door and the windows that were wide open.
She must be cleaning the floors...
He thought to himself as a small frown was on his lips.
"Beomgyu!"
His eyes widened as he heard someone call his name.
"Hav?" He wondered as he opened the curtains even more, sticking his head out to look for her.
"Gyu! Over here!"
Beomgyu quickly spotted the little girl who excitedly waved her hand at the prince who waved back at her with the biggest smile the guard had seen from him yet.
"Hey, stop for a bit." Beomgyu said to the guard who only shook his head and frowned at him.
"I was ordered by the king to go directly to the event. No stops."
His smile slowly dropped, before looking out the window again.
His heart dropped as he spotted Luna, with a bucket in her hand as she stepped out of the bar.
He resisted the urge to call out to her as she noticed the carriage which was getting farther and farther away.
Her eyes were sad as they met his and he felt his whole world fall apart even more.
He looked away from the window and faced forward.
After a few minutes, the carriage stopped moving, making Beomgyu look out of the window in confusion.
"Why are we stopping?" He wondered, a little bit of fear creeping into his heart, but it faded once the guard sitting next to him reached for a bag to pull out the prince's dark red cloak.
"You have half an hour to come back here to the carriage." He said nicely as he placed the cloak on Beomgyu's lap.
The young prince stared at it, before looking at the guard in question. "What do you mean?"
"Go to town and do whatever your highness wants. Go see Ms. Luna." He spoke confidently, before bowing his head at him slightly.
The prince was still confused, and he wondered if this was some type of trick, but he dismissed it as just the kindness of the guard.
