Luna sat at the dinner table, with Beomgyu, the queen and an unknown girl sitting right across from her.

She could see the resemblance between the deceased king and the girl across from her, and she could immediately tell it was Beomgyu's sister.

They hadn't been presented to each other, but she still felt like it was an inappropriate time to introduce herself as the girl in front of her was just staring at the table, unable to look at the spot her mother sat in.

It was just a quiet clinking of plates on the queen's side, while everyone else didn't eat.

Luna didn't know if she should even touch her plate or not, as the two siblings hadn't said a thing to each other or anyone else.

It seemed that Beomgyu and her didn't get along that well.

"How was your academy?" Beomgyu questioned quietly as he reached for his water.

His sister stayed quiet for a bit, before shaking her head.

"This is not what we have to talk about." She whispered making everyone look at her.

Beomgyu sighed a bit, and Luna looked down at the table, before raising her hand to catch everyone's attention.

"I-I would want to be excused from this conversation. I don't think I should be here." She spoke quietly, bowing her head at the queen.

The queen thought about it for a long time before refusing her offer.

"I want you to listen." She said strictly, and Luna continued looking at the table, furrowing her eyebrows a bit, before nodding her head.

"I don't want to be the queen." Princess Ari muttered as she looked at her brother. "But I will take your place because I know there's no other choice."

Beomgyu looked down at the table.

"I think you're irresponsible. And selfish, for putting all of that pressure onto me." She almost whispered, tears in her eyes. "And I'm angry at you, for putting someone else before your family."

The mother of the two watched the interaction with slight satisfaction, keeping her hands against her lap.

Luna furrowed her eyebrows at the words of the younger girl, tilting her head, but her eyes stayed on the table, wondering what Beomgyu was going to say.

"I wouldn't have left, if I didn't think you could handle it, Ari. We had a conversation about this, so I don't really understand why you're..." His words trailed off softly, looking into her eyes.

Beomgyu stood up and walked around the table, making Luna raise her head to watch him.

He wrapped his arms around his sister, and she started sobbing, before wrapping her arms around him too.

Beomgyu knocked gently, placing his ear slightly against the door.

"Ari?" He called out softly, making his sister raise her head from the couch as she was sitting on the floor, leaning against it. "Can I come in?"

"Come in." She said after hesitating, and he opened the door, before quietly closing it behind him.

"Hello." He almost whispered walking towards her and sitting down on the couch, next to her head.

Ari looked up at him for a few seconds before looking down at her hands again. Beomgyu stared as her nose was red, and her eyes slightly swollen with how much she had cried.

Right after that moment at the dinner table, Ari had just stood up and left the room.

It took Beomgyu a couple of seconds to process what had happened and what was going to happen from now, but he knew he wouldn't be able to figure it out until he properly talked to her.
