Beomgyu stared at the vegetables in front of him, wondering which look best to pick, as Luna followed behind him with a bag in both her hands.

It had been a couple of weeks since he was back in the bar. Life had gone back to normal. They tend to the bar, they go out on occasional dates, going to the bonfires and dancing together into the morning.

There was nothing more either of them could ever ask for, but every time things went well, Luna always had a gut feeling that it was going to crumble down somehow.

"There's more than enough food at home, Beomgyu."

"Yeah, but Mr. Chu wants to come and eat once in a while. I invited him to have dinner with us on Sundays." He informed as he placed the different vegetables in the bag Luna was holding.

She was once again being reminded of her father. He would always cook dinner for the older men almost every weekend. She remembers having to go food shopping with him at least twice a week and helping him with the big pots in the kitchen.

It was starting to get weird that he's so good at bringing things her father used to do back into the bar without knowing.

"Every Sunday?"

"Not every Sunday, just a couple of Sundays. I feel bad that he's by himself at home all of the time. That's why he's always at the bar on Sundays because he has nothing else to do and no one to talk to." Beomgyu shook his head in pity as he kept placing vegetables in the bag.

Luna sighed as she followed him around.

"Can we go home now-"

"The king is dead!"

Beomgyu froze at the sudden sad yell coming from a group of people in the corner of the town square.

His hands stayed on the vegetables, and Luna immediately looked over at the group.

"It says natural causes." Someone said as they read the paper.

Luna wondered whether she should go check it out, and she immediately walked over to where everyone stood around an announcement being placed on the wall.

She made her way through the crowd, whispering 'Excuse me', and when she finally stood in front of the wall, her eyes grew a little wide.

Beomgyu walked over there in a hurry, his gaze catching the huge letters on the paper and people made way for the prince as they all gradually fell silent at his presence.

"What?" He whispered to himself, feeling tears in his eyes.

Luna looked at him, knowing all too well what that feeling is like, tears in her own eyes as well.

"Beomgyu-"

"How?" He said softly as he wondered, letting the tears fall as he took the announcement off the wall, staring at it in confusion. "It has to be a lie. He was healthy. He wasn't sick at all. Natural causes?"

Luna watched him as he stared at the paper in disbelief.

Beomgyu didn't think it could be possible, but for some reason he had a feeling it was the truth.

He wanted to run to the castle to see him in his throne room, saying that it was false news. But unless a funeral letter was officially sent to Beomgyu, there was nothing he could do.

That alone made Beomgyu shake his head as if denying all of it and Luna stared at him in worry.

"Come here." She said, containing the lump in her throat as she pulled him into a hug. Beomgyu quietly sobbed as he buried his face in her neck, hugging her tightly. "Let's go home."
