Luna and Beomgyu stood across from the gates, hand in hand as the guards were quick to open the doors for the young prince.

It was a long walk to the main doors once inside, but when they got to the doors it was almost like Beomgyu had never lost his position.

"Your highness." The maids bowed at him as he walked into the castle he used to call home.

His eyes were tired and distraught, and his skin pale. Everyone that caught him in their gazes would look at him in pity and he couldn't help but keep his eyes that were never facing the ground, lower than they ever have before.

"I will lead you to the main living room, your highness." One of the maids spoke gently as she led them both down the long and tall halls.

Luna took her time to look around now, feeling her heart beating out of her chest at the hugeness of the place. Seeing the gold molded plaster on the walls, and fancy ten-foot paintings of the entire family and ancestors.

She felt out of place.

Beomgyu was used to the huge, lonely halls, but she was feeling this loneliness for the very first time. So, the only thing she could do was hold his hand tighter as she avoided the fear in her heart.

For some reason, the smell of lavender was once again unbearable as they were led to sit at the living room.

"Would you like your favorite peach tea, your highness?"

"I would love some."

"What about for your guest, miss..." She trailed off as she didn't know who the person next to the prince was.

"Luna. I-I'll have the same." Luna replied nervously as she softly caressed Beomgyu's hand in hers.

The maid bowed at both of them, before disappearing out of the doorway.

Beomgyu was relaxed, but Luna was sitting straighter than she ever had before. She was looking everywhere around her, wondering if they should even be stepping on such carpets with shoes on, or if she should be sitting in this living room with such a casual dress.

"She will probably be against you staying here. And she might say something stupid. And if she does, don't worry about it." Beomgyu said lowly as he leaned back against the couch, watching the maids coming in with tea and his favorite chocolate cookies.

"Thank you." Luna said softly to the maid as she poured the tea for her, and she looked up at her in slight surprise, before bowing her head at her as an answer.

Beomgyu stared at the cookies, and Luna immediately looked at him, knowing that he hadn't had an appetite since the day before.

Luna grabbed one of the cookies, catching his attention. He watched her as she took a bite, and she nodded her head in fake approval, before offering the half-eaten cookie to Beomgyu.

"Come on, I already ate half of it, you know I don't like chocolate. Just this half." She whispered, and he felt the familiar lump in his throat, but he still took the cookie she was offering.

He was starting to wonder why he had even said yes to the tea, but he wanted to ask for something so that Luna would be comfortable enough to ask as well.

Luna tried the tea and wondered if such good tea actually existed.

"It's great, isn't it?" He said softly as he leaned his head against her shoulder.

Luna hummed as she took another cautious sip.

"My father used to love it too." He whispered as he couldn't help but be reminded of him.
