In the galaxy of Candara, 50 000 light years away, best friends Shae and Iris were training under the command of Captain Westfall and Commander Evans with their squad on the large starship Saber. It was headed towards the rendezvous point, where they were asked to meet with the rest of the squad who was out training in the other half of the galaxy.

After several hours, they were finally at the rendezvous point, but no one was there. A red light on the dashboard of the ship's cockpit flashed and Iris pressed it. Commander Evans, who was training the other half of the squad, appeared in hologram.

"Where are you?" he asked, just as Captain Westfall walked into the room. "Commander Evans," Captain Westfall addressed him. "I could ask the same of you. We are at the rendezvous point you gave us the coordinates for, and your ship is no where on our scanners."

"Oh," Commander Evans smirked, "Westfall. We both know my half of the squadron is the strongest, you just won't admit it."

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh, you fool," Evans laughed. "You walked right into that one. I bet you didn't even check the coordinates we gave you." Captain Westfall suddenly reached into his pocket and took out the piece of paper on which he'd written the coordinates Commander Evans gave him. He looked over the coordinates, then he suddenly realized - the first time he read them, he'd missed one of the letters. "Oh no." Captain Westfall said, a grave tone in his voice.Commander Evans just laughed harder."You know it's true Captain. You're done. The strongest troop shall always conquer."

"That's not true!" Westfall shouted. "You had to resort to tricking us to get us eliminated, instead of waiting for the final competition, which just shows that you are not the strongest team, you are merely a foolish coward!"

Evans snorted. "Coward? Maybe. But at least I'm still alive, and you won't be after my plan has succeeded. Good luck surviving this one, Captain." he said with a sneer, as the holomessage disappeared. "I don't understand how he tricked us," Shae said to the Captain. "He gave us the wrong coordinates. Wrong by ONE LETTER. And now...now we are headed straight for a black hole."

Iris walked into the room as he said black hole. "Oooh! Why are you guys talking about black holes? Did my space essay finally convince you about how COOL they are?"

"Yeah," Shae said, "they're not so cool when you're about to get sucked into one!"

"What?"

"Commander Evans tricked us, and now he's eliminating us from the competition by sending us into a black hole instead of killing us himself!" Iris's eyes widened. "B-but, we can still turn the ship around right?" she stuttered. "Maybe" Shae said, a hint of doubt in her voice.

"Well...come on! Do it! I can faintly see the hole from here, turn the ship around before we get sucked into the horizon!"

"Right!" Determined, Captain Westfall grabbed hold of the ship's controls and tired to pull the ship into reverse. "I-I think it's working!" The large ship suddenly started to slow down."Yes!" said Shae, triumphantly.

"Commander Evans isn't so smart after all!" Iris exclaimed. Shae and Iris thought they were safe, until something hit their ship and an alarm started to go off.

"What's going on?"

An officer ran into the cockpit. "Sir, the hyper drive's been hit!"

"oh, shit!" Westfall exclaimed.

"What?" Iris asked, "what's bad about hyperdrive?"

"It means that we won't be able to travel through hyperspace in order to return into orbit!"

"Oh."

"Who hit us?" Shae asked."Don't know, but now there's no point in turning back. We're doomed!"

"No! We can still..." Iris started.

"No!" Captain Westfall screamed, "There's no escape! By now we're already close enough to the black hole that we're stuck here, and even if we could turn back we wouldn't get very far without the hyperdrive anyway. We aren't being weak, we're being strong by knowing when we've been beaten!" Shae remained silent, so did Iris. Suddenly their ship sped up and was drawn towards the black hole with greater speed. "We're entering the event horizon," Captain Westfall informed. Suddenly, the ship hit another bump, which sent Shae and Iris stumbling across the ship and into the wall. Then everything went black.
