"Replace you?" Westfall exclaimed.
"I can't stay here!"
"But, this is yours!" Semilar gestured to the scenery around him. "It has been foretold!"
"Oh, really?"
"Yes. You agreed to this long ago, you only forget."
"WELL WHO'S FAULT WAS THAT?" Westfall said, referring to how Semilar wiped their memories.
"Actually, it's yours."
"Mine?"
"Yes."
"No way."
"You volunteered to undergo the treatment, therefore the outcome is your fault."
Westfall rolled his eyes.
"Whatever, old man."
"Please, stay here. Someone must keep my children in balance!"
"No."
Semilar sighed.
"I cannot force you to do this."
He looked at Westfall directly. "The choice must be yours."
"I'm leaving."
"If you leave, your selfishness shall haunt you and the Galaxy."
"GOODBYE."
Westfall turned and walked away, and caught up with Iris and Shae.
But Semilar's children weren't there.
"What happened?" Shae asked.
"Nothing important," Westfall said. "We're leaving now."
"But how are we going to get through the white hole again?" Iris asked.
" I don't know, we'll find a way."
Without further question, they followed Captain Westfall back to their ship.
They started up the thrusters and took off.
"Thank God that's over", Iris sighed, leaning back in her chair.
"Yea, just let's just hope we can get out of here."
They flew the Saber last the tall rocks and mountains of Asconia, the dark clouds making it harder to see.
The cabin was silent, no one spoke.
Until Westfall got up from his seat and
Walked towards the back of the ship.
"Take over Flying, one of you."
Iris and Shae glanced back at him, and exchanged skeptical glances but they knew better then to question him.
Captain Westfall lay down on the bottom bunk of the cabin bed, his arm over his eyes.
Semilar's words pounded in his head.
"You must replace me..."
"I am dying...."
"You agreed to this..."
"Your selfishness shall haunt you..."
What did it all mean?!The door to the back cabin opened and Shae walked in, to find the Captain lying on the floor. If his left leg wasn't twitching then Shae would have assumed he was dead, or at least unconcious.
"Captain?" Shae ran over to his side, and rolled him into his back.
She was about to yell for Iris when
A large hand covered her mouth, and spun her around. She was now facing the tall menacing figure of Dovaa's brother. His large cold hand closed around her throat. Her hands grabbed at his wrists, but it was worthless, he was too strong. Her legs kicked, and spots of black were starting to dot her vision.
She heard Westfall's scream, but it was faded.
Suddenly the airlock opened and Shae was being dangled outside.
She caught a glimpse of Westfall, and he lunged to try and help her, but before he could get very far Dovaa's brother jumped out of the airlock, still holding Shae. The airlock closed behind them.
Westfall stumbled as he ran to the front of the ship. Panicked, he flew into his chair and grabbed the controls. "The Gargoyle has Shae."
"What!?" Iris was shocked.
"He's taking her somewhere!" Westfall dove the ship down, speeding up to try to catch Shae.
Dovaa's brother had turned into his gargoyle form, and Shae was dangling by her arms in the gargoyle's talons. They dodged mountains and rocks, speeding through the fog trying to catch up to the gargoyle who always seemed to be one step ahead of them.
They suddenly emerged from the smoke and the top of a large tower with glowing green windows emerged.
The gargoyle deeked put of sight
"Watch out!" Iris shouted, and Westfall had to veer down and to the left to avoid colliding into the top of the tower. They weren't able to see anything and the ship brushed against a large floating rock, causing alarm to go off, and a red light flashing.
Westfall tried pulling up, but it didn't do much good. The Sabre crashed into the rocky ground, blowing up dust and smoke everywhere.
Westfall and Iris where jerked forward as the ship finally skidded to a halt.
The ramp lowered and Iris and Westfall hurried outside.
"Come on!" Westfall said, and started to walk towards the giant tower.
"Wait!" Iris said, before he could get very far.
He turned to look at her, questioningly.
"There has to be some other way," she said.
"What do you mean?" He asked, sounding slightly annoyed.
"I mean that we shouldn't get involved! We should find Semilar first."
"We don't have time," Westfall said with an edge to his voice. "He's too powerful for Shae. I won't leave her alone!"
Iris crossed her arms "I don't think that's wise, Captain. This is what he wants."
"You are in no position to tell me what to do," he snapped at her.
"I don't want to fight with you," Iris said, "but we are in the middle of something we don't truly understand! I still think we need to tell Semilar."
Westfall sighed. "Fine. You go find Semilar. I'll see if I can find Shae."
Iris nodded and started walking back to where they had came from. He watched her leave for a moment before walking towards the tower. He sincerely hoped Shae was still alive.
