Iris woke up, and found herself still sitting on the floor of the cave.

Her eyes were still heavy from sleep, but was determinded to try to find captain Westfall as soon as possible- especially if what her Future Self had said last night- that she might not see her future if she remains in his squad. And then to leave this planet!

But she couldn't leave Shae here alone- she had to make sure she was okay.

She was still laying on her side, curled in a ball, the same way she was when they first arrived in the cave.

Shae suddenly moaned, her eyelids fluttering open.

"Are you okay?" Iris asked her

Shae rolled on to her back. "I feel dead." Shae moaned, her voice cracked slightly as she said that last word.

Iris wished she could help her friend-but nothing in her training on the Saber

with Captain Westfall had prepared her for what do do when someone was struck by lightning.
Shae grunted, then pushed herself up into a sitting position against the wall.
"It must not be that bad if you can do that," Iris said to her.
"I'm tough," Shae said. "I can handle it." even though Shae sounded more convincing than she felt. her muscles ached from sleeping in such a tight position, and her skin was burnt almost everywhere.
"Your arm looks bad," Iris said, noticing that gash on Shae's right arm.
she glanced down at her arm. "Didn't notice that,"Shae said. "I can barely feel it."
Iris looked around the cave for something to stop the bleeding, but the cave was empty-except for rocks and stalactites.
"Here," Iris said, tearing off a piece of fabric off her sleeve.
"This will stop the bleeding."
She carefully wrapped it tightly around Shae's arm, squeezing slightly.
"There," she said as she tied it in a not so it wouldn't come undone.
"Thanks," Shae said.
"No problem"
"Um, iris," Shae began.
"Yes?"
"Did you happen to have a sort of weird dream last night, like a vision, sort of? Of your future self?"
Iris was shocked. had Shae had she same dream she had?
"I actually did," Iris replied.
Shae gasped, her eyes wide. "then do you think it's true? That Wesfall will betray us?"
"Wait, what?" Iris demanded "why would he want to betray us?"
Shae was confused "I thought you had the same dream I did"
"All I know is that this planet isn't safe."
"Oh, "Shae said, confused.

"Can you stand?" Iris asked Shae, changing the subject.
"I think so."
Shae put her hands against the wall, and used it to push herself up to her feet, her entire demeanour screaming in pain.
She clenched her jaw, but remained standing.
"I'm okay," Shae said, trying to be strong. "I just can't run yet"
"Wouldn't expect you to," Iris replied, smiling.
Shae gave a small smile. "we should try to find captain Westfall," she said, walking towards the entrance of the cave with a slightly limp. "see what he knows"
Iris followed her, and when they got outside, the sky was clear and it was no longer raining, and the grass was wet with morning dew.
"I wonder where he could have gone," Shae said, looking around.
"He could have tried to make t to the place were Dovaa's father stays," Iris suggested.
"Maybe, " Shae said, "we could start there."
They followed the path that they had taken when they'd first met Dovaa- up the path carved into the mountains- but slowly, for Shae's sake.
This time, they were more aware of their surroundings, incase another rock avalanche decided to fall down on them again.
They followed the path up to the top of the mountains.
"We're so high up," Shae said, looking over the edge of the mountain.
"Yeah," Iris replied, "but not high enough." She pointed to the tower that still loomed hundreds-maybe thousands- of feet above them.
"How are are we supposed to climb all of THAT?" Shae asked, tilting her head back so she could see the rest of the building.
"Don't know. but Dovaa said there was a secret entrance." Iris suggested.
"Yeah, but we won't be able to find it because it's a SECRET," Shae replied.
Then suddenly they heard a faint voice calling their names. "Shae! Iris!"
