They had no choice but to surrender. If they tried anything, they could be killed.
"Fine," Shae said. "we'll go with you"
"Yes," Semilar replied. "you will."
Semilar turned and walked out of the room, and the guards behind she and Iris nudged them them forward.
They followed Semilar down the hallway, and up several flights of stairs, the guards always walking behind and I front of them.

They finally reached the top of the stairs, and walked into a large room.
"Do you remember this place?" Semilar asked them.
"Nope" westfall replied, "never been here before."
"That's what I thought."
The room was sort of dark, except for the blue lights on the wall one perimeter the floor. there was a chair in the centre of the room, that was sort of slanted so that when you sat on it you would be almost laying down.
There was a computer-like screen behind the chair, connected to a bunch of different wires. there were also desks and chairs that surrounded it, each one with a transparent screen above it.
"What is this place?" Iris asked.
"This is the memory chamber," Semilar replied. "he who sits in that chair will have the ability to see into their past, present and future. however, there must be someone monitoring it, with that computer behind the chair. in this chamber, the person monitoring the chair has the capability to alter or even erase a persons memory, the subject not even remembering that they had their memory changed afterwards."
"Why do you have such an awful machine?" Shae asked.
"Because," Semilar said, "we used it on the three of you."
