Westfall ran into the last room there was. He had scoured the entire tower, and Shae wasn't anywhere to be found.
He looked around the large dim room and within seconds he spotted her. Sitting on the edge of a raised platform near the back of the room with her head down and back facing him, was Shae.
"Shae!" He exclaimed with joy, running towards her.
"Shae, it's me! You're safe now, let's go!" He stopped when he realized she didn't react.
"Do you...Care about me, Captain?" She asked, turning her head slightly to the side, her words slightly slurred.
"What?" Westfall was slightly taken aback. "Uh..." He let out a small nervous laugh. "Of course, Shae. Of course I care about you now come on let's get outta here."
Shae lifted her head abruptly. "He's right," she said, her voice clear now.
"Right about everything. You must join him."
She turned around to face him, standing up.
She held her hands together infront of her, tilting her head to the side and making her eyes really wide. "He only wants what's best for the universe," She said sweetly. Too sweet.
Westfall noticed that her skin was darker, and faded black veins crawled over her skin. But the worst of all was her eyes. A bright, eerie yellow.
"Hey... What's wrong with you?" He demanded.
Shae rolled her eyes. "Always with the criticism, Captain!" She turned around again, pacing back and forth. "Never really believing in me! Or caring about me!" She vented.
"Well," she stopped pacing and turned away from him. "I don't need you anymore."
"Shae. Shae listen to me," Westfall said desperately. "He has done something to you, snap out of it!"
He pointed a finger at her. "This isn't you, Shae!"
"Isn't it?" She snapped. " I feel more like myself than I ever have!" She threw her arms out to the side. "He asked me to give you a message," She said, snapping out of her dreamy state. "He said," she looked over her shoulder at Westfall, "if you don't join him, he will kill me!" She giggled innocently.
"I won't let him!" Westfall said fiercely.
Shae turned around. "Then you will be forced to kill me!" She pointed her finger at him, then sunk into a fighting stance.
Westfall was too stunned to move as Shae leaped off of the platform with incredible distance and landed a hard kick which he just barely blocked with his arms. Shae kept advancing, performing every move he'd ever taught her- spinning kicks, punches, flips.... Westfall couldn't believe this was happening. He didn't want to fight her, and he could easily hurt her of he wanted to, but he didn't. He had no choice but to stay on the defensive.
She kept pounding at him, and Westfall was just trying to survive long enough until Shae eventually tired. If that was even possible.

Sek'loniir watched his work play out before him. He watched out the window of his throne room as the girl fought against her Captain.
That would keep him occupied for a bit. Sek'loniir then sensed a presence behind him.
"Sister," he announced, turning around. "What a pleasant surprise." He looked at the girl standing next to her. "And you brought a friend," he remarked.
"What have you done, brother?" Dovaa demanded.
"Done?" Sek'loniir responded with slight innocence. "I have...Done what is right. Or, what is wrong... Depending on your point of view." Sek'loniir sat down on his dark throne and steepled his hands.
"Our father is dying." Dovaa said, ignoring his previous comment. "Did you do it?" She accused.
"Well," Sek'loniir started, "he was just so selfish, and.. and was taking to long to die, so... I decided to move things along." He looked down at her more seriously. "Now, why are you here?"
"I won't let you leave this planet!" Dovaa said.
"You are not strong enough to keep me here," Sek'loniir retorted, standing up.
"Not alone, she isn't." Iris spoke up.
"Are you referring to your friend, the dragon?" Sek'loniir asked.
Taking her silence as a yes, Sek'loniir continued with a grin. "You might want to check up on him. He's a little... Preoccupied right now."
Suddenly worried about what Sek'loniir had done, Iris ran out of the room to go and find her Captain, leaving Dovaa and Sek'loniir to sort out whatever their family business on their own.
